1/2 Tesla stacks 43 Cybercabs in Las Vegas as a Nevada deadline nears
Thursday, November 5, 2026
New today: Tesla's Las Vegas Robotaxi hub had 43 Cybercabs plus a handful of Model Ys in the lot on the evening of November 4, per a lot count by Diego Suarez shared by @RobotaxiRadar. A Cybercab with a Starlink dish was also spotted testing in Vegas last night.
Why it matters: @RobotaxiRadar says that under Nevada's autonomous vehicle permit rules, Tesla has to start commercial operations by November 24 or December 18, depending on which permit date starts the 120 day clock. Tesla has not announced a Vegas launch date. @Waymo already gives rides on the Las Vegas Strip.
Fares, Wednesday morning, from @RobotaxiRadar:
Houston: Robotaxi Model Y 13.64 dollars with a 3 minute wait, UberX 26.93 dollars with a 15 minute wait. Robotaxi was about half the price, 49% less.
Austin: Cybercab 11.27 dollars with a 25 minute wait, Robotaxi Model Y 11.18 dollars with a 17 minute wait, UberX 7.95 dollars with an 11 minute wait. Robotaxi cost about 41% more than UberX there.
Tampa this morning, from @TampaTerpy: Robotaxi showed a 3 minute pickup. No fare comparison was posted.
Keep in mind: a lot count is one observer's tally, not a Tesla figure, and one fare check is one route at one moment.

2/2 Austin Cybercabs hit 95% driverless as testing spreads to Orlando and Philadelphia
Thursday, November 5, 2026
Cybercab Spotter logged 585 Cybercab sightings in Austin on November 4, with 558 driverless, about 95%. Only 27 had someone in the driver seat, below the previous low of 40, per @RobotaxiRadar. This is a fan tally, not a Tesla number.
New test sightings: a Cybercab on Interstate 4 in Orlando, the highway linking the Orlando and Tampa service areas, and a Cybercab on DeKalb Pike in King of Prussia, the third Philadelphia area sighting in a week. A sighting does not mean rides are coming soon.
Dallas: Koby Pierce mapped the real pickup and drop off zone at about 63 of the advertised 81 square miles, still covering about 89/100 of residents, 337,000 of 381,000.
Abroad: @Tesla_Malaysia has a Cybercab on display at Sunway Square Mall in Selangor through November 9.
Keep in mind: Tesla fleet and sighting counts are unofficial, from fan trackers, and zone sizes are fan mapped.

Training Your Service Dog, Part 14: Deep Pressure for Calming
Thursday, Nov 5, 2026
Your dog can now retrieve on cue. The next task is calming pressure, where the dog leans its weight on you to help you ride out a hard moment.
US Department of Justice ADA guidance lists calming a person with PTSD during an anxiety attack as an example of trained work. Comfort from the dog's mere presence does not count, so the pressure must be a trained response.
The International Association of Assistance Dog Partners describes the weight of a medium or large dog against the chest and abdomen as calming during panic attacks. It also says the dog must get off promptly on command.
How to teach it. Start from the settle in Part 9 and the release word in Part 6. Sit in a sturdy chair, invite a chin rest on your knee, then mark and pay with the day's food.
Next, cue "lap" and pay for both front paws, then for the chest across your thighs. Feel for real weight, not tiptoes. Add duration one calm second at a time, just like stay.
Practice "off" every session so four paws on the floor always pays well. Keep sessions short and never yell the dog's name.
Fit the position to your body and your dog's size. IAADP notes a large dog can be too heavy lying on your chest, and suggests a rest break on all four paws before repeating a lap position.
How to measure progress: log seconds held and clean releases. Aim for 8 of 10 cued holds of two minutes with an instant off, in three different chairs.
Here in Tampa Bay, Odin is trained for PTSD and severe musculoskeletal spasm detection and calming. Steady, trained pressure is real work for the handler.

Tesla Weekly Review
Covering the last 7 days, Oct 30 to Nov 5
New since yesterday: Tesla opened its Berlin Tesla Engineering Center in Köpenick, about 30 minutes from Giga Berlin. @teslaeurope said the campus pulls four engineering sites into one place with 30 labs for materials, powertrain, vehicle engineering and validation, and calls it the third hub of this kind after Fremont and Shanghai, going from permit to operational in under a year.
Germany's October registrations rose with the factory story. Germany's Federal Motor Transport Authority counted 2,932 new Teslas last month, up 290.9% from a year earlier, @Reuters reported. From January through October the tally reached 47,742, up 206.1% year over year. Tesla held a 1.2% share of all German car registrations in October, behind BYD at 2.0%.
Also opening today: Tesla's newest Optimus, described by Tesla China as its first unit built for mass production, joins a production Cybercab at the China International Import Expo in Shanghai through Nov 10.

Cybercab on tour, Robotaxi miles and software
Cybercab is on display today. The @teslaeurope tour opens at Auto Zürich in Switzerland from Nov 5 to 8, the first of 12 stops across nine countries through mid January. Visitors can see the car and take photos; rides are not part of this tour. Separately, a production Cybercab is also on the Shanghai expo floor this week.
The live @robotaxi safety counter sat at 4,426,704 driverless miles on Wednesday, up 80,007 from Tuesday. Fort Worth is on day three of rides with no safety monitor in the cabin, and we found no public crash report for that city as of Wednesday. A National Highway Traffic Safety Administration defect petition, DP26010, still asks whether Robotaxis exceed school zone speed limits; a grant or denial is due around Jan 21, 2027.
On the car side, software 2026.38.6 was on about 19.2% of cars tracked by TeslaFi, and FSD (Supervised) v14.3.13 continues to roll on Hardware 4 with v14.3 Lite on Hardware 3, @NotATeslaApp covered.

Stock, Europe driving and what is next
TSLA closed Wednesday at $385.19, down 3.34% on the day after Tuesday's $398.50 close, @YahooFinance data shows.
Europe also locked in a renamed assisted driving package this week. After RDW approval in the Netherlands, FSD (Supervised) becomes Tesla Assisted Driving, the allowed overspeed cushion shrinks to 10% from 50%, and the cushion resets to zero on every startup. Electrek says the package already spans 10 European countries.
Shanghai stayed busy in October: 67,829 Model 3 and Model Y cars left the plant including exports, up 10.3% versus October 2025, the twelfth month in a row of annual gains, even after a 28.9% drop from September, @Reuters cited China Passenger Car Association data.
What is next
Auto Zürich keeps Cybercab on the floor through Nov 8, then the Europe tour continues.
Dallas Cybercab rides are still expected later this month.
Public comment on NHTSA lighting rules for vehicles without manual controls closes Nov 25.
Tesla holds its annual shareholder meeting Dec 3 at Giga Texas at 3 PM Central.
The earliest window for an EU vote on Tesla Assisted Driving is December.

Tampa Bay Fishing Tips 🎣 Nov 5, 2026
Cooling water is shoving fish into canals, creeks, and back bays. Bay outlook is good with light wind and water near 76°F.
🧵👇
Pasco / North Pinellas: Capt. Cody Albright is working just inside the Anclote and Cotee rivers for reds, snook, and trout on live sardines; release every flounder (Beacons).
Gulf Harbors canals: live shrimp on a 1/0 with just enough weight to hit bottom for reds, drum, and sheepshead (Rusty Bucket / Beacons). When winds lay down, look for Spanish around Anclote Key.
FWC keep tip: Gulf flounder harvest is closed statewide through Nov 30, catch and release only. Skyway Pier multi-hook and treble ban starts Nov 15, so switch to single-hook setups soon (@MyFWC).

1/3 🛰️ Starlink Daily Brief
Thursday, Nov 5, 2026
Norway's defense procurement agency FMA awarded Marlink a framework deal worth up to NOK 450 million for satellite service that requires access to @Starlink, Norwegian media reported this week.
It covers @Forsvaret_no, the police, the PST security service and the National Security Authority, and leaves room for Starshield, the military version, later on.
The armed forces have 180 active Starlink subscriptions for email and internet, a Cyber Defence Force spokesperson said. The tender also lists Iridium, Viasat, Thuraya and OneWeb.

🛰️ 2/3 Ottawa's Starlink contract hits C$28.9 million
A federal record shows @SSC_CA's contract with SpaceX Canada now stands at C$28,941,731, nearly 13 times the C$2.26 million it was signed for in Nov 2023.
A series of amendments, the largest adding C$17.2 million, pushed the end date to March 31, 2027. The record does not say which plans or hardware it covers.
It comes as Prime Minister Mark Carney says Canada won't tie its defenses to Starlink.

🛰️ 3/3 Zelensky doubts Musk acted alone on slowdown
@ZelenskyyUa told @NewsHour he doubts Elon Musk could have slowed Ukraine's Starshield access last month without someone in the US government.
"I'm not sure that he could do it personally alone," he said. The slowdown hit Starlink linked drones and aircraft flying faster than 100 mph.
Musk first said the US military and the president set those limits, then posted that a loophole used for offensive drone strikes was closed.

Christmas is 51 days away. Tonight: how to pick the Christmas show version made for your exact Tesla.
Tonight's free pick: The Grinch by Tesla Toybox (@TeslaToybox) on Tesla Light Share (@teslalightshare). It comes in three versions, each about 1:13 long.
The SEXY Models version for Model S, 3, X and Y, posted Dec 1, 2025.

2/3 Why there is a version for your car
The official Tesla (@Tesla) light show guide says any custom show plays on any supported Tesla. Shows are not locked to one model.
The lights differ, though. Not a Tesla App (@NotATeslaApp) reports the refreshed 2025 Model Y added new front and rear light bars, and Tesla's guide says Cybertruck light bars get full brightness control.
Moving parts differ too. Cybertruck opens its frunk where other models open the liftgate, and a Model 3 or Y only moves the liftgate if it is powered.
So creators tune a version to each car, letting the beat land on lights you actually have. Tesla Toybox did the same for Star Wars Carol of the Bells and Jingle Bells, each with a Model 3 version and a Juniper Version.

3/3 Step by step, run the right version
Step 1: Match the version name to your car: SEXY Models, Juniper Version or Cybertruck.
Step 2: On the show page tap Download Zip. Tesla Light Share asks for your email and sends you a download link.
Step 3: Two Teslas at home? Keep both versions in the LightShow folder of one drive, each with its own name, like show1.fseq with show1.wav and show2.fseq with show2.mp3. Several shows on one drive need software 2023.44.25 or newer.
Step 4: Plug into a front USB, USB C or glovebox port, wait a few seconds, then open Toybox, tap Light Show, then Schedule Show, and pick your version from the drop down menu.
Step 5: If the popup says Light Show instead of Custom Light Show, the drive or file names do not meet the rules. Fix them and try again.
Keep the windows down. Music plays only from the cabin speakers, so Tesla recommends not closing the windows during the show.
