There seems to be an intentionality around stopping the run for this #Falcons team. Leading the NFL in yards allowed and YPC defensively on the ground in Week 1.
Not even close to "doomed"
Overall for me — The Falcons had chances to win they just were extremely sloppy and couple that with bad QB play and some kicking mistakes. The defense I think played as well as they could in this game.
But it’s very clear the Falcons would have done better with Penix and Tua to me or even strand. But I don’t come out of this thinking the team is doomed yet. Gotta see how they bounce back against Carolina

Despite so many new faces, the Falcons defense did enough today to make the game reachable for the offense.
