Hackers stole Jennifer Lawrence's nude photos and posted them for the whole internet. She was 24 and had just won an Oscar. The photos were for her boyfriend. "I was in a loving, healthy, great relationship for four years. It was long distance, and either your boyfriend is going to look at porn or he's going to look at you." In the video below, she tells 60 Minutes how she took it back. Watch the first ten seconds. August 2014. Private photos of more than 100 women went up on 4chan in one night. Nobody broke into Apple. The hackers sent fake "security alert" emails that looked like Apple and Google, and the women typed in their own passwords. The same trick still works today. The internet gave it a nickname. A Reddit page sharing the photos got around 100,000 followers in days. People made it a joke. "It is not a scandal. It is a sex crime." "Anybody who looked at those pictures, you're perpetuating a sexual offense. You should cower with shame." The men who did it got 8 to 18 months. Her photos are still online today. Back then no US law made sites take them down. Only this year did that change: since May, a site has 48 hours to remove photos like hers once the person in them asks. She swore she'd never do nudity in a movie. Four years later she did, in Red Sparrow. "There's a difference between consent and not." "I feel like something that was taken from me, I got back." She was 24 and they were for the man she loved. Should everyone who looked at them be ashamed too?
