Alito has said he wouldn't do it. He could be lying, but he is also has a huge ego and neither he nor Thomas should be expected to take one for the team.
My final pitch for voting for a Democratic Senator:
Thomas is 78. Alito is 76. If we get to 51 Senators, it blocks them from resigning. Then they're in their 80s by 2030.
Every Senator elected gives us a chance to save the nation. I don't care if you like them or not.

Democrats need to not believe this, though. It shouldn't take a once in a generation environment to win the house. We need blue states to not take their foot off the gas and push hard for redistricting before 2028. We can't count on this every time.
The left has spent the better part of a decade wishing death on this man, and he still pulled himself away from a competitive Senate race in his own state to step up for their guy.

It's why we need both El-Sayed and Turek. The more seats we win now, the easier the majority will be to hold in the future.
And the bigger the majority, the more we can sideline certain candidates on certain issues. Both El-Sayed and Turek have less power in a senate with 53 seats vs 51.
Remember that the Senate is for 6 years. Every seat we don't win this year is one less Senator a Democratic President will have for a majority in 2029.
And a Senator is not "1 of 100". There are only at most about 10-15 Seats that are competitive. Every one counts for a lot.
It's not about him. It's about all the people who suffer under the continuation of Trumpism. Especially the 75 million who voted for Harris.
It's so much bigger than him as a person.
If you don't support the Democratic nominee for Senate, you're no better than the DSA leftist destroyers who sat out 2024.
El-Sayed was not who I wanted to win the primary, but he won it. And Mike Rogers winning would be a huge victory for Trump and Trumpism.
I really believe that some on the left want to lose Michigan so they can blame Chuck Schumer for it (I'll give you one guess as to why), even though Schumer's PAC has spent $35 million in support of El-Sayed.
You can tell there are some leftists on here who want Al-Sayed to lose so they can blame the Jews for it.
