Tucker gets absolutely schooled on the Budapest Memorandum and the myth of “no NATO expansion.” He literally crumbles when faced with basic facts, as does every Russian propagandist. Glorious.

Tucker Carlson lying as usual. NATO has *always* had borders with russia, the Budapest Memorandum was signed in 1994, and russia recognized Ukraine's borders again in 2004. The "subsequent verbal agreement" was a discussion with...the Soviet Union, which no longer exists, in 1990
Tucker got called out to his face on the "NATO expansion" myth, in real time, and starting squirming. It is simultaneously satisfying and embarrassing to watch. Tucker might be the most repulsive figure in American public life.

The Kremlin-backed Matryoshka bot network is weaponizing the FlyDubai incident to smear the US Democratic Party in increasingly bizarre ways. The goal remains the same: seeking to influence the upcoming US midterm elections.

Ukrainian children unlawfully taken from occupied Ukraine. Forcibly transferred to Russia. Separated from their country and identity. ‘Rescue’ is the Kremlin’s word. War crime is the legal category.

As severe flooding inundated parts of Bangkok in late September, a video of a long-tail boat cruising on a submerged street circulated online. Although rescuers had to resort to inflatables and small boats, AFP found the footage was generated using AI. u.afp.com/S9sU

I’d like to approach this as an indication of human use case issues. Automation Bias and Fatigue: When AI handles most of the work, cognitive fatigue sets in and causes humans to blindly trust the output without really looking. The "Diff" Blindness: Proofreading an AI's completed draft is psychologically grueling because our brains automatically fill in missing details and miss obvious mistakes. Diffusion of Responsibility: Because everyone assumes someone else verified the final product, accountability vanishes and errors slip right through. The so what is if we keep treating 'human-in-the-loop' as a box to check instead of an actual speed bump, we're just building a conveyor belt for garbage.

Fake News posts like this really show me how entrenched people are in their beliefs, and how they will blindly believe whatever users caption a video. @YosephHaddad quite literally never says the fabricated quote in the accompanying video. The debunk is the post itself.

Norwegian researchers drove a Chinese EV into a mine to cut it off from the world. It still tried to call home. The project is called Project Lion Cage. Tor Indstøy, a Telenor security executive, monitored his own NIO ES8 SUV for years. About 90% of the connections he logged went to Chinese servers, even though NIO tells European customers their data is processed in Europe. The car carries cameras, microphones, location tracking and always-on modems. Most traffic is encrypted, so researchers could see where it went, not what it held. That is the gap. China's National Intelligence Law requires companies to assist state intelligence work. Nobody has proven spying. The question is who can be forced to hand over the feed. A separate test by Oslo transit operator Ruter found the Chinese Yutong bus could be reached by its maker through software updates, including battery and power systems. Yutong says it cannot control steering or brakes. Countries buying cheap Chinese EVs should expect to ask what else comes with the price. Is a lower sticker price worth putting a Chinese-controlled sensor on every street?
Norway 🇳🇴 put Chinese 🇨🇳 EVs in a mine so the cars could not “see” the outside world. 🚘 They still tried to call home. 🛜 Researchers found data moving with the car switched off. About 90% of the traffic from the car they tore down went to China. Same country now selling cheap EVs into Canada. 🇨🇦 Cameras. Mics. Always-on modems. PRC intelligence law. This is not a green-car debate. ♻️ It is a rolling sensor debate. 🛰️ Ottawa wants the cheap sticker price. Beijing wants the feed. #cdnpoli #CCP

#AI bugs in apps give you weird search results. AI bugs in military use will and has nearly started wars. Governance isn't optional when hallucinations have a body count: no trust, mandatory checkpoints, and absolute human verification before action. Just as we didn't ban #planes after early plane crashes, we build air traffic control; governance exists to create safety guardrails for a transformative technology we can't uninvent. Then we broke the speed of sound safely. And now planes are far safer than they have ever been. I believe we must do the same.

Have you ever considered the linguistic history of the word #propaganda? It never actually had the conations of deceit behind it. Until recently. 1622 (The #Religious Roots): Coined from the Latin propagare ("to spread"), when Pope Gregory XV created a committee to oversee Catholic missions. Originally, it had zero sinister meaning and simply meant spreading religious doctrine. Late 18th Century (Secular Expansion): The term shifted into secular politics during the French Revolution to describe campaigns promoting political ideas. For decades, it remained a neutral descriptor for organized advocacy. WWI & WWII (The Pejorative Turn): Total #war transformed the word as governments used mass media to demonize enemies. Nazi and Soviet state messaging permanently welded "propaganda" to state lies, manipulation, and brainwashing. Now? well… social media can tell us all about it.
