MAJOR BREAKING: The Yemeni President has just announced that the Yemeni Armed Forces will begin operations to effectively wage all-out war against Ansar Allah (Houthis).
The current Yemeni government is heavily backed by Saudi Arabia, and as a result, this will almost certainly be viewed as an escalation of war by Saudi Arabia as well by Ansar Allah.
This is EXTREMELY significant because Ansar Allah has made extraordinary geographic and strategic gains in Yemen over recent weeks, with their now effective control over the Bab al-Mandeb being their most significant.
Beyond this however, Ansar Allah has been consistently retaliating against Saudi Arabian escalations by targeting Saudi energy infrastructure, as well as multiple strikes into the Saudi capital of Riyadh.
This could get VERY out of control…

Simon Andriesz, the British banker who uncovered 2018 emails linking Howard Lutnick to Jeffrey Epstein’s Adfin investment and took them to House Oversight, has died at age 57. BBC reported his findings. Lutnick later admitted to visiting the island but not the business dealings.
Simon Andriesz @SAndriesz has died. He took his own life this week, while staying at a trauma treatment centre, the same place he had gone to try to survive what years of fighting had done to him.
I wrote the piece below about him at the start of August. We last spoke on 13 August. Reading my own words back now feels different. Heavier. I did not know then that this would be the last chapter.
Simon gave me his story directly. The embezzlement he uncovered, the fraud he reported, the heart attacks, the police complaints, the years @TheFCA spent doing almost nothing while his life fell apart around him.
He handed the CFTC and HMRC enough to secure real fines. He handed the BBC enough for a full documentary.
And still the one regulator that was supposed to protect him let him carry all of it alone for 7 years.
He was one of the most credible people I have ever spoken to. Everything he told me checked out. And he still ended up broken by the very system meant to catch people like him when they fell.
I am angry writing this. Angry that a man this capable, this thorough, this willing to hand over evidence and testimony for years, was left to fight completely alone until he could not fight anymore.
Simon Andriesz deserved better. Rest in peace.

BREAKING: Iran is now seriously planning to extend the range of its missile arsenal to directly target US aircraft carriers, after the US reportedly moved its carriers away from the blockade line following Iran’s use of the Qassem Basir “carrier killer” missile, per Fars News.
Iranian Army spokesman Mohammad Akraminia said Tehran has “absolutely” concluded it must increase missile range and speed, with US forces now positioned as far as 1,000 kilometers from Iran’s coast. Iranian officials claim the Qassem Basir can strike moving naval targets at ranges of up to 1,200 kilometers.
The announcement directly answers the US Navy’s withdrawal from the blockade line, with satellite imagery showing no US carriers or destroyers in the Gulf of Oman or Arabian Sea since early September.
Iran is now looking at where the US forces moved and working to make sure its next generation of missiles can reach them there.

Food Inflation Is Running Far Below Normal
Food at home is half its long-run average. Trimmed-mean PCE is already near 2%. The Warsh Fed hiked anyway.
CPI Food at Home is 2.1%. The Fed and Wall Street are screaming inflation crisis.
The series is not.
St. Louis Fed data: food-at-home CPI inflation was 2.1% year over year in August 2026, roughly half the approximately 4.1% historical average recorded since the early 1970s.
That is not an emergency print. It is a below-normal one.
The Dallas Fed’s trimmed-mean PCE, the measure that strips out the noisiest price moves, was 2.2% year over year in August, the slowest since 2021, and running under 2% on a recent monthly annualized basis. Underlying inflation is already in the 2% range.
Yes, gasoline at the pump is high. That is a negative growth shock, and those dissipate. The Warsh Fed still hiked a quarter point in September, the first increase since 2023. The Powell Fed cut 50 bps in September 2024, weeks before the presidential election, when inflation was worse than this.
Screaming crisis over a grocery rate running well under its long-run norm, while trimmed-mean PCE sits near target, is inflation porn, and a midterm year is when it sells. The dataset says 2.1% food and 2.2% trimmed-mean PCE are not a reason to hike.
Voter turnout among young people and independent voters continues to rise. No longer blindly adhering to party lines, they prioritize their own tangible interests and are becoming a pivotal force capable of shaping the overall outcome
