October was a busy month on Qortal, and most of it landed in the apps people use every day.
Q-Mail and Q-Share got full redesigns, both now live on QDN, and Qortal Hub picked up a run of security work that's still in development. Here's what changed.

What if anyone could check an election's result, without having to trust whoever organised it?
That's the idea behind VotePeer, an open-source voting app on @NexaMoney. Since yesterday it's on the App Store as well as Google Play. Here's how it works.

When I write about Lunarium $XLN, I don't take a number from just one place. I check it on more than one public tool.
Here's the small toolkit I use, all linked from the official site, and what each one tells you about the network.

France has put a date on its quantum race: two quantum computers with 1,000 logical qubits each, ready for industrialisation by 2032.
@mochimocrypto broke the program down today. Here's what it is, what a "logical qubit" means, and why crypto keys come into it.

Why would a small chain avoid sharing its mining algorithm with a much bigger one?
The BitcoinIII $BC3 whitepaper answers with one idea: a proof-of-work chain's security is relative, not absolute. Here's that argument in plain terms.

Bitcoin Purity keeps Bitcoin's addresses and transactions, so one of the first practical questions is simple: where do your coins live?
Today the team released PurityWallet 1.1.0, for Android and, in a new version, for Windows and macOS. Here's how wallets work on Purity.

Since block 64,360, BitcoinIII $BC3 can be mined with CPUs and supported GPUs, while Bitcoin and SHA3x ASICs can't simply switch over.
If you've wondered what it takes to start, here's the path the project itself lays out.

Estimates of the quantum machine needed to break today's encryption keep shrinking. The latest, from Alice & Bob, is about 23,000 qubits for RSA-2048.
Curious how a chain signed with hash-based WOTS+ since 2018 works day to day? Here's where to start with Mochimo $MCM

Bitcoin was built to move money. Today its blocks also carry images, text and other data.
Bitcoin Purity takes a different path: a Bitcoin node fork that keeps the same addresses, transactions and SHA-256d mining, with permanent consensus limits on arbitrary data.

Lunarium $XLN has 57 masternodes enabled right now, and I run one of them.
Here's what a masternode's life looks like, from the collateral to its turn in the reward rotation, and what it takes to keep it there.

Nexa's AI Skills got an update this week: one skill for developing the Wally wallet, and one for running a private local chain.
If you've ever wanted to build something on @NexaMoney but didn't know where to start, this is the most direct path I've seen.

Bitcoin’s monetary design, but a different mining path.
Bitcoin III BC3 follows Bitcoin’s economic model while using its own Proof-of-Work algorithm. Its long-term goal is to build a mining hardware class designed specifically for BC3.

Lunarium $XLN is an independent blockchain that has been active since 2018. Its development is built around a combination of Proof of Stake, masternodes, and the Quark algorithm.
Its approach focuses on a network where users can participate in both its operation and the growth of its ecosystem.

Lunarium launched $XLNFT, a BEP-20 token on BNB Chain that the team describes as a bridge between the Lunarium network and Web3.
Before anyone touches it, here's how it's set up and what's worth checking.

Why did BitcoinIII $BC3 change its mining algorithm a second time?
The first fork (to SHA3-256t) already moved it away from Bitcoin’s SHA-256d. The problem was that the heavy work still overlapped too much with another coin.

ZKAS, explained: a Kaspa-derived PoW BlockDAG (~1 block/s) where every transfer is shielded with Zcash's Orchard + Halo 2.
kHeavyHash, merge-minable with Kaspa, no premine.
Worth keeping in mind: no independent external audit of its privacy design yet.

It starts with the key. WOTS+ is a one-time signature: each signature reveals part of the private key, so a key should sign only once.
Mochimo turns that into a rule. Every spend empties the source key, and whatever is left moves to a fresh key under the same 20-byte tag.

Who sets an AI agent's budget?
Nexa's Delegated Payment Protocol links a service to your Wally wallet: under your limit it pays on its own, above it you approve.
Today Wally enforces the per-payment cap; daily/weekly/monthly caps are in code review.

Post-quantum signatures are heavy. Every Mochimo $MCM transaction carries a 2,144-byte WOTS+ signature, roughly 30 times the size of an ECDSA one.
So how does a chain signed this way since 2018 stay light? Not with a smaller signature, but with everything built around it.
