Really sad to see whatβs happening in Paraguay, where over 60% of the population is losing access to their funds held in banks.
As DeFi and stablecoins gain adoption among fintechs, we must remember the bigger mission, which is building a self-sovereign financial system where access to your own money is a fundamental right, not a privilege granted by an intermediary.
BREAKING: π΅πΎ What just happened in PARAGUAY is a WARNING for everyone on earth.
More than 3 million people (60% of Paraguay's adult population) have lost access to EVERYTHING. Their bank accounts. Their pensions. Frozen. Inaccessible.
Paraguayβs largest digital bank, Ueno Bank, has collapsed.
The president of the Central Bank (who is deeply connected to Ueno) has just RESIGNED. Eight high-level executives including the founder and the Bank President are being detained.
The people have taken to the streets to demand their money back. And rightly so.
This is the model Milei and the rest of the Epstein class are pushing. This could happen ANYWHERE. Best to save in physical gold and physical silver, imo.

Yes, the weekβs result in numbers is terrible.
But first of all, as I already wrote here (nitter.cf/DoCryptoBred/status/21β¦) and in the two posts below it, the βtotal profitβ of the Vault is a very abstract thing: huge sums usually come in right at the pumps and periodically get withdrawn on the drawdowns, which heavily cuts the βaverage across the boardβ. In those posts youβll find my personal numbers β even now, with BTC at $78K, my share of the Vault profit is down only ~26-28%.
Once again, I suggest re-reading those posts to see that even in a volatile market, when it swings up and down for months, you donβt have to sit at zero or in the red β if you take profits in time, diversify, and rebalance your portfolio.
Right now the market is in a state of extreme apathy. The way I see it, the fundamentals are getting better and better by the day, and prices will inevitably catch up. And despite such a βterrible resultβ for the past epoch, I can say Iβm happy with how I managed the assets.
As I wrote in previous posts, itβs exactly in moments like these that you can see the difference in who manages their βprofitsβ and how. When βeveryone is in profitβ β one is +104%, another +168%, a third +314% β the first two usually donβt care and donβt really think about why it turned out that way.
From February 19 to June 2 the Vault was in the red β thatβs 104 days. Then it made ~$5M in profit. Now weβve pulled back to +$2M and everyone is apathetic )
Take profits, rebalance your portfolio.
Thank you all. Weβre only just getting started!

Well, just as I wrote last week β at some point weβd go 2 or even 3 times down or up in a row... and thatβs exactly what happened this week, but Hyperliquid pulled it all out at the last moment.
Volatility creates opportunities. Thereβs a lot to say about Hyperliquid, LINK, AAVE β Iβll get to it someday )
Thank you all. Weβre only just getting started!
Today @Payward, the unified financial infrastructure platform that powers @krakenfx, announced that Digital Asset Special Investments I, LP, a Payward-affiliated investment fund, and its clients acquired AAVE tokens.
The AAVE tokens were acquired through secondary market purchases, and Payward may make additional acquisitions in the future. Payward and Aave are also exploring opportunities to collaborate on future initiatives.
As traditional and onchain markets converge, Payward believes DeFi is an integral part of the global financial system, with Aave playing a leading role in this evolution.
And yes, I get it β ideally you'd want me to "do it for you": take partial profit at the top and add at the bottom, while you just hold the position.
First: that only works cleanly in a closed system, where I always know the vault's dollar balance and control it. In our open setup it can't be done in a balanced way β anyone can deposit or withdraw at any moment, and every dollar that comes in immediately gets exposure to all positions. Add the human greed bug: on the way up people deposit a far bigger share of their cash than on the way down. The biggest deposits have always come at the very top of the pumps; on the drops there's nowhere near as much β and some people pull out hard.
Second: I already do this. If I didn't add on the dips and take profit on the spikes, our positions wouldn't be beating the market β they'd just be "hanging longs". In reality the vault is still well ahead of those longs.
And it's important to really get this β in numbers, on your fingers, with examples.
It's a perfect illustration of how you can buy the same "stocks" or "coins" as your friend, as Buffett, as anyone β and end up with a completely different result. It's never about "when you first bought Bitcoin". More and more people proudly tell you how early they got into BTCβ¦ and then something happened. What determines the result isn't even what you bought, but how you took profit and whether you added on the drawdowns.
Even without adding on dips at all β just taking partial profit with a crude "ladder" on the way up β the outcome of $100 in each of the top-100 coins from the previous post would have been dramatically different.
That's why I've been saying it since day one: diversify, rebalance, don't get greedy. Over a long enough horizon, it works.

#Vault β an important one
BTC is up ~10% since the vault launched on Feb 17. For some depositors the vault is "slightly up", for those who deposited at the top it's down. I took profit on every spike and added on every drawdown. Everyone's result is different β most people did nothing with their deposit, and that's a strategy too.
I get that managing a position is harder and more stressful than doing nothing. But as I showed in BredoStrategySubs recently, "just hold for years, never take profit" isn't that great a strategy even in hindsight: $100 into each of the top-100 coins on Christmas 2017 would be worth ~$20K today (2x in 8.9 years, ~8%/yr) β only 9 of 100 coins are in profit, 78 lost 90%+, 26 are dead, and four coins (BNB, LINK, BTC, ETH) made 85% of the result. Entering at the top and diversifying didn't save anyone.
So here's the point. My time-weighted average capital in the vault over these 259 days is ~$160K (every deposit and withdrawal weighted by how many days it sat inside). All-time PNL on the position: $486.9K β roughly +300% on average invested capital.
The vault as a whole did ~+124% on depositors' average capital ($1.6M) over the same period β and that's after a losing last month. The gap between 124% and 300% is "take profit on the way up, add on the way down": my largest exposure was in June, right before the main run, and since September my principal is fully out β only profit is working in the vault. Most people did nothing. That's a strategy too β just with the vault's result, not mine.
A reminder: every deposit and every profit-taking I post in real time, to the minute, in t.me/DoCryptoBred under #Vault. And there's no magic in my timing β there are depositors in the vault who do this better than I do.

What he forgot to mention is that Morpho can charge fees at the market level, allowing it to capture the economic value created by curators without bearing the cost of risk management.
This means markets are neither neutral nor ownerless. Curators invest in building liquidity and managing risk, but Morpho retains the ability to extract a share of the revenue, compressing curator margins and accelerating competition toward zero profitability.
This creates a fundamental misalignment: either Morpho monetizes and competes for the economics generated by curators, or it doesn't and must sustain its business through other revenue sources once incentives run out.
Curators should own their market economics and capture fees from both lending and borrowing. Otherwise, they're building businesses on infrastructure that can tax away their margins. Full stop.
This is why Paul is spooked about Aave V4.
Two very unique aspects of @Morpho's market & vault curation design that we dont talk about much:
1. Own your vault. When you own a Morpho Vault, the business belongs to you, not Morpho. You decide how it operates and responsibilities are delegated. Morpho has no special admin rights to take over your vault or revoke your ownership.
2. Neutral markets aggregate liquidity. No party can own the underlying markets so even users or businesses with competing interests can share the same markets. If markets were owned, it would lead to competition between markets and cause liquidity fragmentation

$INFER $imdUSD Infer Protocol β a new financial layer for the agent economy $IMD
There have been some loud posts on CT about our agents finally making us money. I even reposted one.
ty, His Dudeness:
nitter.cf/cryptokarlheinz/statusβ¦
And yes, they are. Especially the agents that helped build a new protocol: imdUSD
nitter.cf/imdusd
imdusd.com/
But where does the money come from? Isnβt it just a stablecoin?
Let me break it down for you.
First, thereβs $imdUSD. It has two main use cases:
a) Payments within the agent economy. We need a more predictable unit of account since $IMD is volatile.
b) Borrowing against collateral. You believe in IMD long-term but need cash? Instead of selling part of your position, you can borrow imdUSD against your collateral. Of course, there are risks, including liquidation.
Then thereβs $INFER β the token tied to the economics of Infer Protocol itself.
You donβt need it to pay for jobs or borrow imdUSD. Its purpose is to benefit from the protocolβs economic activity.
According to brajon, the dev, fees flow into the Treasury, and protocol revenue is meant to support staking.
So the idea is:
People borrow β the protocol collects fees β revenue flows into the Treasury β the Treasury buys $INFER β the tokens are gradually distributed to stakers through sINFER.
See the Ponzi-like mechanic here? π
The real question is whether the protocol can generate sustainable revenue. Buybacks donβt happen by magic.
so the bullish case is simple:
imdUSD gets real usage β more loans, swaps and fees β more revenue for the Treasury β more $INFER buybacks β more INFER distributed to stakers.
The bearish case is even simpler:
Nobody really uses imdUSD β fees stay low β buybacks stay small β $INFER is left as just another ecosystem token with limited utility.

π¨π¨π¨ Chainlink CRE fees may be much higher than we initially estimated π¨π¨π¨
π We were assuming that there's only 1 orchestration fee in this DTCC transaction, but it looks like there's actually 4 separate orchestration fees, plus a CCIP fee too π

The CRE orchestration fee isn't charged once per transaction. It's charged on every workflow step a user signs (see attached images - blurry because they're screenshots from the live demo).
In the DTCC demo at Sibos, every wallet signature shows "Orchestration fee 0.01 LINK":
13:30 Create financing contract
14:48 Deposit $10m tUSD
17:22 Request $5m loan against MSFT
29:44 Repay loan
That's 4 separate Orchestration fees, paid in LINK.
On top of that there's a separate CCIP fee (20:15) for bridging the collateral to the DTCC AppChain.
Repo + securities lending is $20T+ a day.
Even a tiny share, with multiple LINK fees per transaction, adds up fast.
The scaling is clear: more steps in a workflow means more fees.
$LINK
DTCC AND CHAINLINK AT SIBOS 2026
DTCC's Dan Doney and @SergeyNazarov presented how @The_DTCC is collaborating with Chainlink to advance 24/7 collateral management.
DTCC's Collateral AppChain provides shared infrastructure near real-time collateral management across financial markets and blockchains.
βThe problem being solved is the fragmentation of data, how everybody connects to move collateral and settle transactions, and the different systems that need to talk to each other but cannot do so quickly enough to allow intraday collateral movement.β - Sergey Nazarov
DTCCβs Collateral AppChain will leverage the Chainlink Runtime Environment (CRE) for orchestration between those systems and data sources, and CCIP which enables the movement of assets, value, and liquidity to and from the AppChain.
"You finally have a reliable and legally binding ledger from the DTCC that everyone can rely on, just like they rely on the DTCC now. That's a very powerful thing that I think the capital markets have been waiting for, where they can't get that from just any chain because those guarantees with the DTCC are fundamentally different" Nazarov also added.
The DTCC Collateral AppChain is expected to launch in Q1 2027.

Nothing to write β everything important was written many months ago.
The main ideas β how to "act" in situations like this and how to "survive" the drawdowns β were written back in the times of "falling", when it was genuinely hard.
Right now the challenge is to:
A. Be at the terminal 24/7, because in theory news can drop at any moment that will "work" / "push one asset or another hard".
B. As usual, avoid overtrading and wait β maybe just wait a month or two doing nothing, while reading every little piece of information.
C. Stick to the pre-built plan for rebalancing and diversification, turning a blind eye to temporary hype, the urge to invest "more" than needed, or euphoria.
Other than that β just "got lucky".
"BredoStrategySubs" β closed for new entries, sorry to everyone who applied. I'll post if I reopen it later.
Almost halfway there β to closing the Vault.
