Both residents today in cardiology clinic had no idea what this tool was to help read ECGs (and they are both applying into cardiology!) #FeelOldMoment

Triangle of Brocq! Will need to add that to my Ct reports 🤣

Answer: this is the Triangle of Brocq and Mouchet. Neat finding.

Attenuation correction no longer shows a clear anterior defect. Would you still call it? @NotNoninvasive @cardioimage @RamiDoukky @NP_ltl_a @TheFunshul @VRSiebertMD

Come work with us! Wonderful mission-driven hospital in an academic center in downtown chicago! We are undefeated against the fellows in the Bruce protocol challenge, so runners and triathlete are a plus too, @RamiDoukky. Maybe add that to the posting? – at Chicago, IL

RCRI required 2d LOS & only incl in-hosp complic-not 30d. In our AmJCard paper, we found MICA to have the lowest % but when elevated was more accurate. These are only tools to help. I think <1% is an artificial cutoff as we treat pts w/ 2-3% predicted risk in a similar fashion.

RCRI 0, 1, 2, 3+ corresponding to 1.6%, 4.0%, 7.9%, and 12.9% major CV events and death at 30 days (no MINS included) (n=35,815 patients)

Love your website and I tell all my residents to use it as a resource! Thanks for all the insightful comments. Really appreciate your and @tony_breu’s wisdom here in the thread – at Chicago, IL
So RCRI is fine if you remember to go by a score of 0 means low risk and anything above means you don’t know. For other tools (Gupta, ACS, AUB-HAS2) are all fine to figure out that question of risk stratification. My website has the algorithm we use: preopevalguide.com

For the medicine/cardiology/preop people, how do you reconcile the often large difference between RCRI and Gupta for 30-day risk? #meded #cardiotwitter

My mother in law's bottle of atorvastatin is just filled with peanut M&M's... THIS IS WHY CARDIOLOGISTS HAVE TRUST ISSUES.
