Flip side to this is that I’ve been on call for 18 months straight and this week has been insane, I haven’t seen my daughter in almost three days because I’ve been working 13-15 hour days. I’m tired.

Second procedure done totally solo today, not as satisfying as acute stroke surgery but much more technically demanding. Feelin insane.

The feeling of pulling a clot out of someone’s brain and watching them improve to normal in front of your eyes hits crazy, especially having done the whole case solo, the three years of fellowship after four of residency after four of med school was worth it for this moment alone
Haven’t taken a rest day in like three weeks, so today I basically haven’t left the couch it’s been dope
