There will be, as there always is, when a team makes the playoffs with a losing record in the NFL about how "unfair it is" blah, blah, blah... Two things - 1. It doesn't happen that often. 2. Everybody knew the rules going into the season.

Always a risk of lower extremity soft tissue injuries subsequent to ACL reconstruction. Calf muscles can be subject to undue strain in early return to play phase, esp if playing a compensatory role. Remember, Bosa was dealing with knee (tendon) soreness through much of camp.

Five-time Pro-Bowl DE Nick Bosa pulled his calf during Thursday’s practice and now is expected to miss “a few weeks”, including Sunday’s game vs. the Cardinals, sources tell me and @RapSheet. The team is figuring out whether or not Bosa needs to be placed on injured reserve.

I'm not sure we can credit his benching in 2024 with his play in 2026. That said, he has played very well through 2 games this season. It is also fair to point out that he has faced the Bears and the Falcons. Two teams with not good defenses. Hope it continues!
