Fresh allegations have emerged over the October 2 attack on Standard Group offices along Mombasa Road. A whistleblower claims that two MPs, Oscar Sudi and Jalang'o, contributed KSh500,000 and KSh200,000 respectively to finance the mobilisation of demonstrators who stormed the media house. These are serious allegations that demand thorough investigations. If proven, those involved must be held accountable, regardless of their political positions. Who financed the attack, and who gave the orders? The public deserves answers. The allegations have not yet been independently established.

The big question now is whether Binance can restore investor confidence after a breach of this magnitude.

The world's largest cryptocurrency exchange is investigating a major security incident involving billions of dollars in suspected outflows across Bitcoin, Ethereum and TRON networks. On-chain estimates put the outflows at approximately $5.7 billion. Tether and Circle have already frozen billions in assets linked to the incident. The incident could surpass the $1.5 billion Bybit hack of 2025, potentially making it the largest crypto heist in history.

BREAKING: 🇺🇸 The US DOJ has announced charges against five defendants in Operation Ghostbusters, a nationwide investigation into federal student loan fraud. Authorities also seized over $750,000 in cryptocurrency allegedly tied to the scheme and laundered through a network associated with Kenyan nationals. The message from US authorities is clear: whether the suspects are in America or Nairobi, they will pursue those responsible. Stealing identities, defrauding taxpayers, and destroying innocent people's credit must have consequences. Let the law take its course.

KENYA MUST EXPLAIN! 🇰🇪 The government is reportedly preparing to spend up to KSh 1 billion to host Bayern Munich and Ajax for a friendly match on January 5, 2027. This is taxpayers’ money. Who approved this expenditure, and what is the expected return? Kenyans need better hospitals, jobs, affordable education and reliable public services. If corporate sponsors are funding the event, let the government publish the details. Public money demands public accountability.

Etale, I know you are in the bargaining phace on the fact that ODM is dead as dodo. The once National Party went into ICU the day you people started singing headlessly to KK tune, and the Sifuna wave was the last nail. ODM is currently domiciled in Yemen, and it remains there.
ODM is a National party. It remains National and with strong roots in all parts of country. I believe in the ideology that Baba stood for, ‘making ODM stronger beyond our tribal borders’. We must stick to this ideology of inclusion and unity. Together we shall build a stronger movement (post Raila Amolo Odinga-Baba) and divided we shall be all bundled into one bin and thrown into the uttermost part of the Indian Ocean. Raila Odinga will never forgive us.

Dear Harry Kane @HKane Kenyans are no longer happy with you. You have decided to dine with their oppressors, receiving billions from rogue Kenyan politicians just for their political expediency.
I even regret being happy for Kane

No amount of apology will absolve the crimes against humanity that Kenya Kwanza regime has committed. What this government has committed is similar to a "federal offense". It is the Government vs. WANANCHI. The hammer will drop in August 2027!
President William Ruto has issued a personal apology to the family of Rex Masai, who died during anti-government protests in Nairobi in June 2024. The apology was delivered by compensation panel chair Prof. Makau Mutua during a visit to Masai’s mother in Kayole.

Children learn more from what they observe than what they are told. They see the truth in our actions, absorb our habits, and often speak out what adults are afraid to say. Never underestimate a child’s eyes, ears, or voice. They may be young, but they notice more than we think.

THE UNTOLD TAXPAYERS’ PAIN OF HOSTING BAYERN & AJAX AT TALANTA ON JAN 5 … A Bayern or Ajax away trip isn't just 25 players. It's 50–70 people: coaches, doctors, physios, nutritionists, chefs, kit men, analysts, security and executives. Flying a 60-person squad Europe → Nairobi and back on a charter, with hotels and logistics: roughly $430K–1.06M (Sh56M–138M) per club. Now picture the Ruto government hosting both. Double the bill as "appearance" sweeteners, add stadium touch-ups, security, "local organising committees," per diems and the usual tender magic… Don't be surprised if this crosses Sh2 BILLION. This has the making of a huge scandal Who's auditing this before the cheques are written? @EUinKenya @FCBayern @AFCAjax @Waziri_Mvurya 🇰🇪⚽️

Most people still see boda boda as just a transport job. But some riders in Nairobi, Kampala and Accra have quietly turned it into a real business by adding simple tech. They’re using apps to track their best routes, accepting mobile money payments, and even running small delivery services on the side. A few have started hiring other riders under them. One guy told me he now makes more from the side deliveries than from the actual rides. It’s not complicated. The ones winning are the ones who treat the bike like a business asset instead of just a tool to survive. Are you using any tech or system to make your current hustle more profitable?

A silent man is either strategizing or fighting battles no one knows about. He understands that not every situation deserves a reaction, not every argument deserves his energy, and not every relationship is worth the struggle. His ultimate goal is to protect his peace, save himself, and walk away from unnecessary situations without losing himself in the process.

How Young Africans Are Making Money by Adapting China’s Influencer System Africa’s creator economy is growing fast, and young people with phones, storytelling ability, and basic digital skills are already earning by taking the most useful parts of China’s influencer model and applying them locally. China built a highly organized system of agencies (called MCNs) that train creators, produce content, and drive direct product sales. Africa is still earlier in that process, which creates clear openings right now. Why the Opportunity Exists - A large young population already spends significant time on TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and WhatsApp. - Chinese brands expanding into Africa need local creators who understand culture, language, and trust. - African creators and products can reach Chinese audiences on platforms such as Xiaohongshu (RedNote). - Local influencer work is still less organized than in China, so people who bring structure, consistency, and a sales focus stand out and get paid more. Proven Ways Young Africans Are Earning 1. Build or join a local creator hub Small groups are signing promising creators, improving their content, and connecting them to brands. They take a share of deals or manage full campaigns. Niches that work well include beauty, fashion, fintech, tech gadgets, food, and education. Micro and nano creators (1,000–50,000 followers) often convert better than big names because of higher trust. Many start with 5–15 creators and grow from there. 2. Run campaigns for Chinese and international brands Chinese tech, beauty, fashion, and consumer brands need people on the ground. Young Africans create authentic local content, manage influencers, handle country-specific rules (such as Nigeria’s pre-approval process), and report results. High-demand skills include short-form video editing, scripting, community management, and basic performance tracking. Work can be remote or hybrid when results are clear. 3. Sell products through social and live content China’s biggest earnings come from live selling. Africans are adapting the idea to TikTok, Instagram, and WhatsApp by demoing products, answering questions, and driving orders through links or chat. This works especially well where social commerce is already strong (Nigeria and Kenya). Short videos drive discovery; live or community selling drives conversion. 4. Create content for Chinese platforms Some young Africans post on Xiaohongshu/RedNote about African culture, fashion, food, travel, music, or daily life. Platforms have shown interest in African creators. Monetization comes through brand deals once an audience exists, or by using the content to open offline opportunities. Simple Chinese captions or subtitles help, but consistent high-quality visuals matter more at the start. 5. Offer specialized skills as a service You do not need to be the face. Steady income comes from supporting creators and brands through video editing, thumbnail and cover design, script writing, content strategy, analytics, and talent management. These services are in demand both locally and with brands seeking African reach. Skills That Generate Income - Short-form video filming and editing (phone + CapCut or similar) - Local, authentic storytelling - Basic understanding of how platforms push content - Clear communication and negotiation with brands - Simple tracking of results (views, engagement, clicks, or sales) - Extra edge: local language, Pidgin, Swahili, or basic Mandarin Practical Starting Path 1. Choose one platform and one niche you already know or care about. 2. Create consistently for 30–60 days to prove you can deliver, even without brand deals. 3. Document results and build a simple portfolio or media kit. 4. Offer help to small local brands or other creators with editing, strategy, or campaign support. 5. Once you have a few wins, package the work as a clear service or small hub.

The government is improving tax collection efficiency. That’s not the problem. The real questions are: Where is the service delivery? What about fighting corruption? Is the goal to squeeze the poor through taxes while government thieves enrich themselves? Kenyans deserve accountability, not exploitation.

SIFUNAS CAMP MUST MOVE ON! There is nothing wrong with uniting with those who oppose the government, but unity without principles is just political convenience. Ask yourself: Do these people genuinely want change, or do they simply want a share of power? Some of the very people promising you change may never want to see you rise above them. They want your support, your numbers and your influence, but not necessarily your leadership. Look at Gachagua. We pushed for his impeachment because we believed there were serious issues that demanded accountability. Now, as he strategizes for a political comeback, are we supposed to forget everything and blindly trust him to deliver change? The principle was clear: Fagia wote! If we meant it, then let us stand by it. We cannot condemn one political establishment only to recycle the same political players under a different alliance. Let us identify the leaders we want based on integrity, competence, accountability and a clear vision for Kenya. Let us not allow politicians to choose our leaders for us simply because we share a temporary political interest. Gachagua is not the change itself. Neither is any other politician. No individual should be above scrutiny, and no political alliance should be above accountability. If you discover that you are being used to advance someone else's ambitions, have the courage to walk away—even if it means standing alone. Never allow anyone to ride on your influence for their own convenience while you abandon your principles. Those who genuinely want change must build alliances around shared values, not blind loyalty to personalities. Opposing the government does not automatically make someone a champion of the people. Our mission is not merely to remove those in power. It is to change the way power is exercised. Sifunas camp must think beyond personalities, political revenge and the next election. Fagia wote means accountability for everyone—not just those we dislike.

🚨 REFUGEE CRISIS IN MOYALE: OVER 40,000 ETHIOPIANS FLEE INTO KENYA More than 40,000 Ethiopian refugees have reportedly crossed into Kenya, with thousands gathering near the Kenya–Ethiopia border in Moyale. The Kenya Red Cross warns that more refugees are still arriving. RELIEF SUPPLIES RUNNING LOW: Ndigila says available relief reserves are dwindling as the humanitarian situation worsens. Kenya urgently needs to mobilize food, clean water, shelter, medical supplies and other essential services to support displaced families and the host communities. The big question: Is Kenya prepared to handle a growing humanitarian crisis along its northern border?

The @IEBCKenya has shortlisted 9 candidates for CEO, the officer who will oversee the machinery of Kenya’s 2027 elections. Interviews are scheduled for November 12–13. Among those shortlisted are Halakhe Waqo, former @EACCKenya boss; Anthony Omerikwa, CEO of @NACADAKenya; an IEBC returning officer; a 2025 IEBC chair hopeful; and five other candidates. In 2025, the IEBC selection panel invited the public to submit memoranda on candidates. Why not now? @IEBCKenya, publish the candidates’ CVs and open a window for public submissions on their suitability before November 12. Kenyans deserve to scrutinise the people entrusted with running their elections. The person who runs our election machinery must be vetted by the very people whose votes they will count. Transparency is not a favour. It is a democratic necessity.
