Something incredible happened today - Darius let Maya stroke him for the very first time 🥹 When you have known a dog for 3 years and 8 months, and for no particular reason the suddenly decide not to move away if you try to touch them… you can imagine how incredibly special that moment felt 🐶🥰

Two years ago today, we loaded up our Handicans and headed to the beach 🏖️ Watching this back brings so many emotions. Since this video, we sadly said goodbye to our beautiful Laika, who crossed the rainbow bridge and left pawprints on all our hearts 🌈🐾 But there have been so many happy chapters too. Roo found her amazing forever family, and Panda and Candy found their perfect forever foster home together. As for Lollipop, Odin and Clive, they're still with us at the rescue, living their very best lives every day, surrounded by friends. Our handicans have taught us so much about resilience, joy and living in the moment. As Sia sings, they're unstoppable 💪

Every day our rescue dogs remind us that life doesn’t have to be perfect, to be wonderful ☺️💜

Alice is so content in her group, she is like a different dog these days. Although Alice needs other dogs to feel safe, it’s a much healthier relationship with Peanut and Duke than she ever had with her mum Aleesha. These boys, and her friends Inca and Mindy have done such a great job making her feel part of their little family 🐶🐶🐕🐕

Please join us in wishing Happy Birthday our wonderful partner Andrea of Cyprus Dog Rescue, the most caring, selfless lady who has dedicated her life to the rescue dogs of Cyprus 🐶🎂🥳🐶 This was the moment Andrea reunited with lots of her rescues who have been rehomed by ourselves and attend Daycare 4 Dogs. Many of these dogs were starved, injured, riddled with infections or living in terrible situations. Andrea was their angel who saved them in their hour of need, nursed them back to good health and showered them with her unconditional kindness and love. Andrea is so supportive to our team, generous with her incredible knowledge and one of the few people who can truly understand the pressures Em faces. Betty handican would like to share some news. We were wondering if she had been in pain so our vet did a series of X-rays. It revealed that one of her hips was damaged beyond repair, attached to the leg that she never uses. We were advised amputation of her useless leg was the best thing for her and would remove any pain. So Betty would like to let you all know she is now a tripaw 🐶🐾 Her biggest bit of news though is that that pesky cone is finally off! 🥳😃 She has found that much more annoying than her surgery, needing a large plastic one become someone has a cheeky habit of nibbling! It’s all onwards and upwards for Betty now. Please wish her a quick recovery ❤️‍🩹
