The SNP Govt made the choice of providing free Social Care to those who need it and properly fund it out of their budget. Scottish pensioners are now seeing the triple lock on their pensions taken away to provide free Social Care in England...seems fair enough...doesn't it.....?

UK spends 5.1% GDP on state pensions vs an OECD average of 8.1% and an EU average of 12.9%. UK pensions are just 25% of salary replacement vs 76% in Italy and 58% in France - So even with the Triple Lock UK pensioners are lagging behind!

The UK has the lowest state pensions in Europe.
They are being further attacked to increase weapons spending. The non-existent national care system is smoke and mirrors.
These are two big things I expect in the PM’s speech tomorrow
1) A strong steer that the triple lock guarantee for state pensions will be reformed to part finance his new national care service for the elderly frail
2) Thames Water on the way back to state ownership
The first will reassure the nation’s creditors and the private sector. The second, with all its huge liabilities, will need a bit of explaining to those constituencies
The triple lock pension increase doesnt even touch the walls of real world inflation, re the cost of living crisis.
But somehow according to 4 of the English parties pretending to be Scottish in Holyrood HQs its unsustainable.
