As has become tradition for the @BSMSanatomy team, #ValentinesDay was spent exploring the scientific wonders of the ❤️ with a packed room of guests, looking at heartstrings, chambers and the functions of the heart. All proceeds from ticket sales went to local heart charities 🫶🥰

Paid Opportunities for Trans & Non Binary Actors with Bristol Medical School (BMS) BMS are keen to improve the representation of transgender health in our curriculum, and are looking to: 1. Recruit trans men to act as simulated patients for teaching around the importance of cervical screening in trans men. Teaching co-produced by people with lived experience and can be reviewed beforehand. Dates: November 2023, May 2024 exact dates TBC) Location: Remote Work (Telephone Consultations) Pay: £30 per hour worked (paid via BACs following the session, within approximately 4-6 working weeks of engagement) AND 2. Build a database of trans and non-binary simulated patients with opportunities to take part in other future sessions (both about transgender healthcare AND about other areas of healthcare). Most being in-person acting sessions in Bristol. Relevant experience in acting or medical role-play is desirable, but not essential as we can provide training resources to applicants.
