What a heartbreaking week it has been. Sir Patrick Stewart was a friend, a colleague, and a magnificent actor. From the stage to the bridge of the Enterprise, he brought intelligence, grace, and a deep sense of humanity to everything he did. Captain Picard stood for the best of us, and so did the man who played him. I was filled with affection and admiration for him and his work.
My heart goes out to Sunny and his family. He will be deeply missed.

Terrible news Sir Patrick Stewart has died at 86.
With a career spanning more than six decades, Stewart became one of the most respected actors in film and television
Thank you for the memories, Sir Patrick. You will never be forgotten.

Remembering Mario Segale, who died 8 years ago today at 84. Nintendo of America rented his warehouse in 1981, and after a talk about late rent, Donkey Kong's jumpman became Mario.
Born Apr 30, 1934 | Died Oct 27, 2018

Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The image in this post is not Mario Segale. It is a composite using a misattributed photo of Italian actor Folco Lulli.

Update: Molly needs emergency surgery! Currently getting everything situated because we have to transfer hospitals for it.
I ABSOLUTELY HATE asking for help, and Skipper doesn't like it even more, but this is a situation where we really need it. Surgery is apparently $6,000 to $8,000 and we definitely do not have that. We have applied for a loan but the extra payment a month is going to be hard on us, so I am reaching out to you all.
If you are able to help at all Skipper and I would be so beyond grateful.

There must exists an app with PHP, deployed on Railway, with calls to cURL, with other services written in node that use Brotli compression running on a couple day old Linux, with their code self managed on GitLab
They are having a hell of a week

Hey, it is Wednesday
OpenCode hacked
eMudra had picked a private key value of 4, thus everything is now deemed unsafe.
PHP, running 70% of the internet, has an insane hack...

I grew up with:
* 14.4k modem
* Doom was new
* Win3.1 was sexy
Today
* I talk to computer and code comes back
* "Hey check my 19 emails and tell me if there is anything I need to respond to and what are my events today?"
* Full self driving cars
* Actual flying cars
WTF

All these people telling you that AI is evil are all secretly using it in the background and are hoping you'll believe them. They want you to be permanent underclass.

Seriously. I need more people to talk to. Maybe draw with. I don’t know. Human interaction is hard. (Commission in working on that has Nyx in it, idk)
