Canada already has a trade deal with the EU (CETA) but in 2025, the UK alone bought more more goods from Canada (6.4% of Canadian exports) than the whole EU (5.5%). The UK's imports from Canada increased by 154% since 2021 using CETA and now we are both members of the CPTPP. Meanwhile the US alone bought 73% of all Canadian exports in 2025. Canada's second largest export market was the UK, then China, then Japan. This joining the E.U. psyop (i.e. manufactured consent) being pumped into the minds of Canadians is insane. A thread. Europe is crumbling economically and politically. This is because of the same policy set (and people?) that have caused the worst economic stagnation in Canada in a generation. Naive 'Green' energy policy has gutted its industrial base; the insatiable leviathan of public spending; and a regulatory boa constrictor that protects incumbents and crushes entrepreneurial spirit and, yes, mass immigration. Germany, Europe's most important economy, is hemorrhaging jobs. For 17 months and counting, employment has shrunk.

The wild part is FSD pricing. Consumer FSD is around $100/month. Semi FSD could be worth $12,000–$18,000 per truck, per month. That could turn autonomous trucking software into a $15B business by 2040! If Tesla can make autonomy work at scale, the Semi may end up being far more than just another vehicle. 🚀

What do we know about Jacob Coxon, the Anthropic “whistleblower”? He became concerned about AGI doom in high school (in the town of Oxford btw - see my previous posts) after reading Nick Bostrom’s book Superintelligence. Attended Cambridge, during which time he went to an alignment conference at age 19. He then became a fellow at Newspeak (yes, really) House, which received EA funding and hosted Jeremy Corbyn’s Digital Democracy Manifesto launch. In 2022 he received a scholarship from a Moskovitz-funded org. Moskovitz is one of the leading EA donors, and an early Anthropic investor. The 80,000 Hours project (also funded indirectly by Moskovitz) explicitly encourages EAs to infiltrate frontier labs to influence them from the inside. None of this, in itself, proves that he is wrong about AI safety. What it does indicate is that he was already sold on the idea as a teenager, before he worked in the labs, before GPT-1 came out. I think good epistemic practice means we should therefore take him no more seriously than any other doomer. His experience in the labs didn’t convince him AI is dangerous. He already believed that even before the current AI paradigm became dominant, and probably chose his career based on this belief. If you’re convinced by Bostrom’s arguments yourself, that’s fine. But Coxon adds precisely zero additional weight to them.

Index pretraining drives generalization. Holding task-specific data, architecture, training, and evaluation fixed, Index pretraining alone increased zero-shot success from 9% to 56%. Behavior specification got 2x cheaper while its scope expanded 30x. Helix 2.5 used half as much task-specific data as a representative Helix 02 behavior, then generalized that behavior across 30 unseen homes. A human-to-humanoid robot transfer scaling law. Repeatedly doubling Index pretraining data improved downstream robot-action prediction smoothly enough to forecast our largest run’s loss to four decimal places before training.
