Donovan Fitzmaurice

Memorable moment watching my son Donovan take the field for his first spring showcase at Iowa State. One thing I reminded him—and it applies to every athlete chasing big goals: Don’t forget… you’re living your childhood dream. It’s easy to get caught up in the daily grind— the challenges, the setbacks, the pressure. But take a step back. Look how far you’ve come. Be proud of yourself. Not everyone has the ability. Not everyone gets the opportunity. Appreciate it. Because one day, this moment will be something you look back on. And you’ll realize… you were living it. #teamfitz #trainwithfitz

You win or lose in your preparation. Not on game day. Not under the lights. It’s built in the trenches. It’s built in discomfort. To be a champion there’s no shortcuts. Rep by rep. Day by day. Brick by brick. Team Fitz football player Donovan Fitzmaurice locked in, putting in the work that shows up on Saturdays. #teamfitz #trainwithfitz

Strength isn’t built overnight. It’s built through years of commitment — rep after rep, set after set. It’s a process, you can’t skip any steps. Stay ready so you don’t have to get ready. Donovan was ready to make an impact when his name was called during his freshman season at Washington State. Now he’s onto his next chapter at Iowa State Football. That moment wasn’t luck. It was built through years of hard work in the weight room and on the field. Overnight success? No such thing. Just years of work no one sees. #teamfitz #trainwithfitz
