It’s not just how well Dru Brown played for 17 minutes last night—he didn’t throw an incompletion, let alone an interception, and produced 31 points—it’s how the team responded to him entering the game. They literally all stepped up and played exponentially better

To gloss over this performance, and reference his starts earlier in the year breaks the cardinal rule of football: what have you done for me lately? To ignore this performance, the momentum, and the spark, would be criminal.

We asked Dru what the difference is between prepping all week as a starter, and going in cold as a relief pitcher. “My arm sure feels a lot better, as a backup.”Time to limit the reps.

Anything other than a Dru Brown start next week is gross negligence and absolute incompetence. In my opinion, of course.
