If you like Pokémon, perhaps I can introduce you to another turn-based RPG with switching out, deep stat analysis, field conditions, and a whole host of oddly named and shaped little guys to choose as your comfort character. That's right, it's Baseball.

President Trump’s second term is off to a GREAT start.
I’ll be introducing legislation ASAP to officially change the name of the Lake Ontario to its rightful name, Lake America! Let's make the Great Lakes great again!

The lore around Epstein's death is so reminiscent of the JFK assassination, in that, among other things:
a) the official story initially seems implausible (JE suicide/Oswald shot)
b) the fires of conspiracy are fanned by reports of bungled post-mortem procedure that makes it look like somebody is trying to hide something
c) exhaustive follow-up research seems to corroborate the initial story, satisfying exactly nobody

This H1-B thing probably won’t hold up in court. But what a disaster that we’re living under a regime like this, that is so intent on destroying the US as the technological leader of the world.

The average American is now being hung out to dry by both our political system and our economic system. Otherwise things are great.

My message to every intellectually honest Democrat, centrist, and Republican out there:
Criticizing the absurdity of the last 72 hours, mocking it relentlessly, ensuring the stupidity of all this is identified with great clarity — it does NOT mean you have TDS. It does not make you a partisan hack.
Lean in. Say what's true.
In the insanity of this information cesspool, people need to speak clearly. I am a political moderate who subscribes to a wide range of liberal, progressive, traditional conservative, and MAGA ideology across various topics.
And I say clearly that this has been an incredibly embarrassing and stupid few days for this administration because I am not under some kind of spell. I am attached to reality. Do not let people detach you.
Donald Trump at White House: I watched Jamie Dimon on Fox this morning... Dimon said something had to be done.... I am using instinct on such decisions, you have to have flexibility....bond market now is beautiful
Jamie Dimon is the CEO of JPMorgan $JPM.

The real story of the Signal saga seems to be that instead of just admitting error, the Trump Administration feels they can never "give an inch" against the reviled Media -- even when the facts are painfully and demonstrably against them -- so they have to "double down" and blatantly lie/mislead to cover their tracks, because they refuse to ever concede on anything.
That led to an absurd situation where Tulsi Gabbard and John Ratcliffe had to make statements before Congress that were at best wildly misleading, at worst outright lies.
Then today, instead of "cutting their losses," Hegseth -- who seems to be the bombastic war-frenzied ringleader -- teams up with the Admin's communications staff to renew their farcical offensive by continuing to absurdly claim that none of this material was "classified," when there has seldom ever been more obviously "classified" material to enter the public domain. Instead of just admitting error, they try to nitpick the term "war plan," as though everyone can't now read the entire Signal thread for themselves.
It's a comedy of errors and a disaster of their own making. I've been criticizing Jeffrey Goldberg for 15+ years, but continuing to attack him for this, after we have the full transcripts, is just a red herring. The pointless indignant lying has blown up what might've otherwise been a containable problem.

Just once, it'd be nice to see Trump and co. handle Putin, Xi, or any of the other actual authoritarian leaders they hodgepodge with this way. Instead they reserve it for Zelensky and European allies.

Man. Musk is now openly planning to change community notes *because it is producing answers he doesn't like.* How the hell does anyone defend this? Or pretend he is a free speech champion?
He censors. He nukes accounts. And now he is thumbing the scale on community notes.
Unfortunately, @CommunityNotes is increasingly being gamed by governments & legacy media.
Working to fix this …
It should be utterly obvious that a Zelensky-controlled poll about his OWN approval is not credible!!
If Zelensky was actually loved by the people of Ukraine, he would hold an election. He knows he would lose in a landslide, despite having seized control of ALL Ukrainian media, so he canceled the election.
In reality, he is despised by the people of Ukraine, which is why he has refused to hold an election. I challenge Zelensky to hold an election and refute this. He will not.
President Trump is right to ignore him and solve for peace independent of the disgusting, massive graft machine feeding off the dead bodies of Ukrainian soldiers.

Its literally happening right in front of you. Stancil has obvious partisan bias, but I was a longtime Musk supporter. He's just lost me in the last few months-year because he is not operating in good faith/reality anymore.

U.S.-imposed tariffs are taxes and also a form of regulation, borne mainly by American businesses and ultimately by American consumers. If you want to help Americans, then you need to reduce taxes and regulations, not increase them.

There is a phenomenon I call redpill poisoning where someone sees through the establishment matrix, but then starts assuming the exact opposite of that narrative is always true. This oneshots a lot of smart people.

My hottest take is I don’t think a massive number people in academia are that smart, which is why they are unemployable elsewhere.
I think they become very pedantic people that learn a ritualistic way of communicating that sounds smart, but if you really examine it - all it does is inflate weak ideas.
They become so focused on minor details they’re unable to connect it to any larger narrative. Everything about their lives becomes missing the forest for the trees.
