GHSA Executive Director Dr. Tim Scott announced that Gainesville and Langston Hughes to play despite the organization’s appeal of the injunction granted to Gainesville High School last Wednesday. The judge’s ruling overturned the suspension of 34 Gainesville players who were penalized for leaving the sideline and fighting with Brunswick two weeks ago.
That means , the Class 5A quarterfinal between Langston Hughes and Gainesville is officially rescheduled for December 5th and the Red Elephants will be able to compete with all of their players.
The delay also impacts the opposite side of the bracket: Roswell and Thomas County Central will no longer play on Friday, December 5th. Their semifinal matchup has been moved to Thursday, December 11th.
Additionally, the winner of Langston Hughes–Gainesville will face Rome on December 11th as well, to determine which two teams will advance to the GHSA state championship at Mercedes-Benz Stadium on December 17th at 8pm.
The 6A game will swap places with the 5A finals which was previously scheduled for Tuesday December 16th.
Absolutely wild to me that I have been at Roswell long enough to start treating the siblings of alum. I love when I get to see those alum come back to watch games. So blessed to be apart of such a special community. 💚
A 2nd round win and two more rings to add to the collection? Pretty successful Friday night.
So incredibly proud of these Hornets!
The fact that my 2yo cannot go into a building without finishing the song currently on in the car without a complete meltdown, pretty much confirms he is mine.

No way! Not LSU having an incredible drive to just choke in the red zone!

First win vs Milton in 6 years, on Halloween, at home, for the region championship title.
My heart hasn't stopped screaming for these kids and coaches. It was a beautiful night to be a Hornet. 💚🤍
4 years too late. 😒
Breaking: LSU head coach Brian Kelly was informed of the school's intention to dismiss him from his position today, per @PeteThamel.
The school is expected to inform the team of this development tonight. Talks about the terms of his departure are expected to continue.
I managed to clean 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms-- including the floors while my 2 year old was awake and in the same vicinity... without a tablet.
So surely LSU could figure out how to run an offense right?
Last night, our QB1 gave his homecoming king title to Jake, a long time AT student aide and @Roswell_FB hype man.
Not for show or clout, but because that is just who he is as a person, player, and leader.
@_treysmith1 I am so proud of you and the young man you've become. 💚
I hope @Roswell_FB likes Taylor Swift cause that's today's pregame taping playlist. 💁♀️🧡🩵
As an AT, I hate that we are not showing replays of injuries.
But also, as an AT, I love that we are not showing replays of injuries.
