What a treat to meet @KimberleyJWalsh and Annette and to welcome them into the lab to talk about the work we're doing in Sarah's name.

Excited to share that I was awarded the Sarah Harding Young Women's Breast Cancer Fellowship. Thanks to @TheChristie, @GirlsAloud and all those who have donated to the appeal.
November - It's a rare treat to publish in Nature but thanks to the hard work of Dr Bruno Simoes and @drsachahowell (and a few others 😂around the world - too many to tag here so go read the paper) we did it. Well done everyone involved. @MCRBreastCentre
The end of another year. The Breast Biology lab recycled Christmas tree (reusing old plastic media bottles and food dye), our Christmas party, a naughty elf sunbathing and our annual lab Olympics organised by @gillianmackie. It’s not all work!

A drug already used on the NHS could one day help prevent breast cancer in women before the menopause who have a family history of breast cancer.
In a small study, researchers found it reduced early changes in breast tissue linked to cancer developing.

A big thank you to the Oddfellows who recently donated £67,068 to @wearepreventBC.
This vital funding supports a first-of-its-kind explant model to find new preventative therapies for high-risk pre-menopausal women.
