No big deal, just a first look at spatially resolved star formation just after the epoch of reionisation with JWST @FRESCOjwst NIRCam Slitless Spectroscopy 😜. arxiv.org/abs/2404.17629

So, as a Canadian, I decided to watch the 2024 presidential debate between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump. Can anyone explain to me how this is supposedly a close race. Seriously, how is this possible.

This was a very useful meeting! Great to understand the mechanics of the Euclid Consortium and figure out where I belong in it.

Two weeks ago I posted to the arXiv the result of an unbiased search for 6.8<z<9.0 [OIII] emitters in the GOODS fields using FRESCO data. Lots of high-z galaxies, interesting constraints for theorists, and hopefully lots of legacy science. arxiv.org/abs/2405.05111

Good god this blew up! 😅 Loads of people asking for a link to the paper. It’s a pinned post on my profile, but here you go: arxiv.org/abs/2404.17629 Thanks for the love! 😌
A PhD student told me yesterday that they really liked my most recent paper because I actually explained the basic concepts that most people don’t bother to explain in their papers. It was the biggest compliment I could have received. I remember being that frustrated student 🥹❤️

… And that’s a wrap! Privileged to be amongst so many scientists in galaxy evolution really at the top of their game. Hands down the best conference I have been to so far. Nice work @bbenedd , @gregrudnick and Adam Muzzin! #extremegal24 Photo credit: @jacqdanso

Kick-starting the @JADES_astro / @DAWNCopenhagen symposium on the origin of Webb to the origin of galaxies here in Copenhagen — Great to see and chat with so many colleagues and excellent researchers working on the high-redshift Universe with @NASAWebb / @ESA_Webb 🙌

These are gorgeous for science, and for eye candy. Beautiful work from the PHANGS team.
Go on, give these a whirl. Webb just released highly detailed images of 19 spiral galaxies! These observations add new near and mid-infrared puzzle pieces to the PHANGS program, a worldwide astronomy project: science.nasa.gov/missions/we…

JWST result: galaxies in the very early universe spend more time resting between star-formation episodes. This means something different is happening in how they form stars. Great work from NASA FINESST investigator Justin Cole at Texas A&M. arxiv.org/abs/2312.10152
