I’m a GP. It took my own traumatic birth experience to realise the huge gaps in GP knowledge and training in Perinatal Mental Health. I want all GPs in our area to know about PMH, and support women in talking about their experiences #pmhpwhatispmh @PMHPUK #maternalMHmatters

The motherload. Big respect to all the doctor mummies out there trying to juggle. I hear you
What do you say? 🤐 What do you say when you leave on time and that’s not OK? I couldn’t … at the time So I wrote it down If you’re a surgeon, a trainer, a supervisor, a man (or indeed a woman)… please read instagram.com/p/CZkLb9_A9RA/…

The GP 6-8 week postnatal check remains a ***high priority*** during the COVID-19 pandemic, although isolation, staffing and workload pose huge challenges to provision of primary care currently. @gp_aulait elearning.rcgp.org.uk/plugin…

It is really soul destroying that Nigel Farage has 1.6 million followers Yet our account, run by NHS staff to raise awareness of key issues and help lift the spirits of our colleagues, only has 700k Please follow and RT if you can to help put that right

80% of men become fathers. This #InternationalMensDay2021 let’s commit to really get to know who these men are, how they want to father & recognise them as true players in the parenting journey. It’s time to bust the myths, recognise their unique role & work to support them.

Introducing @GP_CPC , a new network of UK GPs collaborating to improve perinatal care in primary care. GPs have a central role in caring for all family members, and the time before, during and after a pregnancy is an important time for health 1/5

We place so much emphasis on managing physical complications of pregnancy, but sadly mental health related causes remain a leading cause of death in women during pregnancy or up to a year postnatal
We are deeply saddened by the latest @MBRRACE report, which once again found maternal suicide to be a leading cause of maternal death. Our thoughts are with the women and families behind the statistics. More report findings and our full response: maternalmentalhealthalliance… #mbrrace
