Stopped my season tickets for @BlueJacketsNHL and got year pass for @ColumbusZoo. Best trade ever.
Tampa Bay is now becoming what Chicago, LA, and Pittsburgh previously were after winning their multiple cups. Winning comes at a (well worth it) cost in the future. Time for Tampa Bay to pay the piper.
@FutaMichael @Mattymar89 @FriedgeHNIC
They beat the @NHLBlackhawks?
The #blackhawks should have their dads drive them home after that performance.
Carolina: Hellebuyck
Chicago: Nikishin
Jets: Nazar, Korchinski, Car 1st ‘27, Car 1st ‘28 (or Kotchekov)
Who says no? @CHGO_Blackhawks @Mattymar89 @FutaMichael @FriedgeHNIC
Never forget. #cbj
Clearly the @BlueJacketsNHL didn’t take my wife’s favorite players into account when they just traded them. Now I’m not gonna be allowed to get season tickets this year.
Apparently, even the snails in Columbus needed a smoke after that game. #OhioState
We need to stop publishing things just to say that we have publications.
Your research should actually have to mean something clinically in order to be promoted.
A new Clinical Practice article summarizes the classification, evaluation, risk stratification, and management of syncope. History, examination, electrocardiography, and orthostatic blood-pressure measurement identify the cause in most patients.
Read “Syncope” by Rose Anne Kenny, MD, DSc: nej.md/4cjFuVU
Ask AI Companion to provide a summary of this article for your patient. In Spanish.

ALT A flowchart from the Clinical Practice article "Syncope" by Rose Anne Kenny, M.D., D.Sc., that shows the general principles for initial evaluation of all patients after an episode of syncope. The chart includes steps such as suspected syncope, evaluation, history taking, and an ECG. It categorizes causes of syncope as certain or uncertain, leading to risk assessment and further evaluation or treatment.
As someone who has experienced both several times, Adenosine is not as bad as an ICD shock.
Is Adenosine extremely uncomfortable for a few seconds? Yes. But I would say those few seconds are better than staying in SVT.
Perhaps, shared decision making with patients is best.
I don’t love this. Adenosine is terrible. Patients hate it. You don’t need to torture pts. Giving 6 mg is akin to shocking w anything less than max.
If stable, a more elegant kinder way to stop SVT is to reassure pt, quiet room, less hoopla, IV beta blocker, wait, then try valsalva, w postural maneuver if necessary,
Valsalva does not work when adrenaline is 100x
Consider adenosine use a failure of kind smart doctoring
