🧵 Want to see a testimony of faithfulness? His wife died less than 48 hrs ago. We’re on a plane to AR for her funeral & he’s been reading his Bible since the moment he sat down. He’s cried plenty of tears but he hasn’t cursed God. He trusts that Jesus is sufficient.
I need this, but with the OU offense, @TattooBaker

This is a reminder that 100 Grand is still the most underrated chocolate bar of all time. It should be in everyone’s top 5.

If you don't think politics is an idol in the American church, try suggesting that Christians don't have to vote Republican and watch how vile the responses are.
My youngest two (elementary school) kids were allowed to dress up as book characters today. I present to you Stitch and The Lorax.
I love them so much. @CobbSchools
We’re not last! We’re not last! #BoomerSooner
I’m not referencing any particular candidate. I stated that I wonder what Josh thinks. I’d also wonder, if Josh is referencing a particular candidate, how he might reconcile his view with Paul’s teaching in 1 Cor 6.18-20.

When I wake up on November 4th and don’t have to see any more political ads or text messages.
If a candidate is endorsed by a man who has been convicted of sexual assault and thinks it’s ok to go around grabbing women by the pussy, and that candidate follows the polices of said convicted sexual offender, I wonder if Josh thinks that candidate is evil or less evil.
On "VOTING FOR THE LESSER OF TWO EVILS"
If godly people refuse to vote for the LESSER of 2 evils, godless people will vote to ensure you, your children, and your grandchildren get the GREATER of 2 evils.
NEWSFLASH: You will be voting for a "lesser of two evils" until Jesus returns.
Wise Christians can differentiate between a FALLEN candidate and an EVIL candidate.
FALLEN CANDIDATE: Has personal sin in his / her life.
EVIL CANDIDATE: Leads entire communities, states, and nations to sin.

So the Hawks and the WWE both went out of their way to try and accommodate the WNBA?
What an awful look for the commissioner.
Fun little aside: During the frantic negotiations over the weekend, an unlikely ally emerged-- the @WWE . At one point, sources told ESPN that Steve Koonin Atlanta Hawks and State Farm Arena CEO reached out to WWE President Nick Khan and asked if he'd be willing to move the telecast of this week's Smackdown to accommodate Game 6 of the WNBA Finals on Friday night.
Smackdown usually airs at 8 p.m. on Friday nights on USA Network, which is the broadcast network for this game. If Game 6 were to be played from 7-9 pm at State Farm Arena, the WWE would have to move an hour later.
Koonin, the former President of TBS, had known Khan for decades. Khan told him they'd be fine with the later broadcast window if that’s what was needed to help the WNBA Finals play in a more appropriate arena.
After that sign off however, new concerns were raised by WNBA Commissioner Cathy Engelbert about playing a potential Game 7 on Tuesday, Nov. 3, Election Night. So that plan fell apart and the league moved back on to the idea of playing at 12:30 pm on Thursday.
Smackdown will remain at its regularly scheduled time. The Dream announced earlier Wednesday that Thursday’s Game 6 is sold out. espn.com/wnba/story/_/id/503…

"If it extends that long, we've done something wildly wrong"
Sen. @tedcruz in March: "I don't believe that what is happening in Iran will be front and center in November. If it extends that long, we've done something wildly wrong... The president said at the beginning this is going to be a matter of several weeks."
Making my sick, 17 yo son’s lunch and about to do my 76 yo dad’s laundry. This is 50, apparently.
And I wouldn’t trade it for the world.
I was in my first year of grad school in New Orleans in 2000. The first 5-6 games, you could only listen to Bob Berry, Sr. (I miss his voice, btw) on dial up internet. But by mid-October, they were showing OU games on ABC and I could finally watch. What a magical season that was.
26 years ago today: OU beat No. 1 Nebraska in arguably the loudest game ever played at Owen Field.
The Sooners rallied from a 14-0 deficit to win 31-14 and the win ended a Red October run of wins over No. 11 Texas, No. 2 Kansas State and No. 1 Nebraska.
75,989 fans witnessed a game that will forever be part of OU football history. Oranges flying onto the field, fans tearing down the goalposts and a celebration that was years in the making.
Two months later, OU was celebrating its seventh national championship.

At this point, what else could they possibly do?
We all agreed this offseason the roster was poised to be special at nearly every position
