Potentially practice-changing results from the BRIDGET trial for HER2+ #MetastaticBreastCancer! Treating isolated brain mets progression with SRS + adding tucatinib to ongoing systemic therapy, rather than switching an otherwise effective treatment regimen. Promising findings for #BCBM! @OncoAlert #ESMO2026 #bcsm
Isolated brain progression in HER2+ MBC shouldn’t mean switching everything 🧠 BRIDGET: SRS + tucatinib added to ongoing HP/T-DM1 → 59% free of intracranial progression at 18 mo, vs a historical median of 5 mo. Keep what works, treat the brain. Practice-informing šŸ”„ To be Presented at #ESMO26 #OncoAlert4SIGHT

When will we stop using #Prevention in #BreastCancer messaging? We can reduce risk, NOT eliminate it! Words matter. Prevention fuels patient blame/shame. Use #RiskReduction instead! And ā€œPink Octoberā€? What about men with breast cancer & everyone living with #MBC? šŸ©·šŸ’™šŸ’š #bcsm #MaleBreastCancer #MetastaticBreastCancer

Exercise is important, but for some people, movement is difficult or impossible. If it is possible, gentle stretches, short walks, chair yoga, and mindful breathing can help you connect with your body. @DrTeplinsky @GCPBalance amzn.to/4zOpHIm #ad #StevosNovelIdeas

Physicians remain patients’ preferred source for vetting online content and data from an analysis on Reddit showed that medical mistrust was often driven by feeling dismissed, perceived lack of thoroughness and poor/inconsistent communication. Yet- all of these things take time and need education.

Thank you @JamesFanWu - clinicians are increasingly becoming ā€˜media educators’ but yet where is the education and support for them to do this? It will take more than an individual effort. #ASCOQLTY26

Dr. @drteplinsky from @valleyhealthnj kicking off the session and presenting on Beyond the Screen: Strengthening Patient/Clinician Trust in a Digital World. In patient canre and especially cancer care where trust is so essential, the modern digital age and even more so with AI, misinformation has become an even more of a challenge. In patients with cancer, 91% use smartphones and 54% use health apps. In this digital/AI age, do clinicians now need formal training and guidance on how to tackle the challenges on new sources of misinformation and debunk and prebunk? We often stress digitial literacy for our patients, but I think clinicans also need this as well. #ASCOQLTY26 @YAbdouMD @AndreaAnampaG @asfeen_ummul @crisbergerot @DarcyBurbage @ZunairahShah @RyanNipp @fumikochino @HannahRAbrams @ASCO

Same Recurrence Score. Different underlying biology. Our recent #RxPONDER analysis in @JNCI_Now found that gene pathway components (proliferation, ER, HER2) differed by race/ethnicity despite similar overall recurrence scores. Could looking inside the score help us understand outcome disparities? @KalinskyKevin @UNC_Lineberger @WinshipAtEmory @SWOG doi.org/10.1093/jnci/djag221 academic.oup.com/jnci/articl…
