My lifelong support for draconian gun control laws was weakened during the 2020 riots when, watching helicopter footage of mobs roaming freely through Philly neighborhoods and attempting to enter homes, a journalist reported that homeowners had told him that when they called police begging for protection they were told that law enforcement personnel were overwhelmed and homeowners were "on their own."

This is extremely troubling because it can lead to patients delaying care or paying more up front and then having to go back to be reimbursed.
There’s already a lot of confusion in our health care system and doctors and hospitals don’t need to be creating more with these unacceptable demands. We need to fix this.

A room full of women erupted in applause after Dr. Kameelah Phillips argued on Oprah Winfrey’s podcast that Black women who have killed their children deserve the same sympathy being shown to Lindsay Clancy, who has confessed to strangling her three children with exercise bands.
“I want us to have the same passion for people who don’t look like Lindsay,” Phillips said.
