Our Instructional Technology Leaders spent last week engaged in Apple Professional Learning, focusing on deeper, more confident integration of iPads in the classroom. They explored tools, hands-on strategies, and practical workflows that will help them support teachers across the district. The goal is simple: empower educators to use iPads in meaningful, creative ways that enhance learning for every student. We’re excited to bring this knowledge back to our schools and continue building a culture of innovation and support. Great job, team! 👏📱🍎

🌟National STEM Day Recap!🌟 What an incredible day across SMSD! Last week on November 10th our campuses were buzzing with creativity, innovation, and hands-on learning as students explored STEM. Here at SMSD STEM happens everyday, everywhere! From high school students coding robots and flying drones… to middle schoolers connecting with STEM professionals…to elementary classes diving into “Science Is All Around Us”… to our youngest learners getting “BrainBuzzed”… and our STEM Magnet students kicking off the first-ever NextGen STEM Conference, the energy was nonstop!🙌 A huge shoutout to our STEM Director (Dr. Lakenya Perry-Allen), Admin Assistant to STEM Director (Kamilya Daniels), STEM Specialist (Tiffany Fondal), and the entire STEM Team for the planning, coordination, and heart that goes into making National STEM Day a districtwide experience each year. Your work brings STEM to life for students at every level. #SMSD #NationalSTEMDay #STEMEveryday #STEMEverywhere

Yesterday, Dr. Bostic proudly represented Stafford MSD at the annual State of Schools event hosted by the Fort Bend Chamber of Commerce. This important gathering brings together superintendents from three local districts to share district updates, celebrate successes, and discuss plans for the future. Dr. Bostic highlighted key work happening across SMSD, including academic growth, student support, and our district’s ongoing commitment to excellence. The event also featured a special moment as the Stafford Elementary Choir opened the program by singing the National Anthem, showcasing the talent and pride of our students. Their performance set a powerful tone for the conversations to come and made our district truly shine. Thank you to the Fort Bend Chamber of Commerce for providing this platform for collaboration and community engagement. We are proud of our students, our leadership, and the continued work to move SMSD forward. Enjoy the video that was featured to highlight some of our dynamic programs! bit.ly/4p3Q6MV
