Good observations from @Dries re: web application architectures and the case for #Drupal. Perhaps we should refer to the “core platform” as “precomposed”? A common feature set that satisfies majority use cases but whose individual components are still totally swappable.

The @gitlab integration on Drupal.org has improved a lot recently. Core testing is now twice as fast as the legacy custom DrupalCI testing system (drupal.org/i/3375826). There is also direct visibility and access to gitlab CI results on project pages.
