Winning strategies reveal themselves in many forms. I cleared my @FTMarketslive $200K Phase 1 with less than 1% risk using a high RRR approach that had only 14.29% winrate. On its own, that number means very little and may even seem like a poor performance. But what actually matters is my average reward-to-risk of 8.84. Mathematically, this means I stay profitable as long as my win rate remains above 11.31%. This is the part most traders miss- win rate by itself is almost meaningless. You see traders and influencers boast of high win rates all the time. If I trade with a negative RRR of 3000:1, I can have a 99.95% winrate and still not be profitable. The real work is in backtesting and simulating your strategies. Understand exactly what win rate your chosen RRR actually requires to be profitable, then build around that truth instead of chasing impressive percentages. I keep a full arsenal of 25 strategies - ranging from 1:1 all the way to 1:25. At every level I know the precise win rate that each of those strategies mathematically yields over 20 years of historical data, and each of them sits comfortably above its breakeven threshold. That clarity tells me when to deploy which approach and, more importantly, gives me the quiet conviction that the probabilities are on my side over time. This means, it is only a matter of time until I win. This is how you stop gambling and using simple data science to start compounding with purpose 🔥
