Whatever the mind can conceive, it can achieve. Two European footballing giants will go head-to-head before our very eyes at the region's newest sporting marvel: the Raila Odinga International Stadium. We look forward to watching Bayern Munich take on Ajax on 5th January 2027 and ushering in a new era of marquee sports fixtures in this world-class stadium. Congratulations, H.E. President @WilliamsRuto, on the great foresight and unwavering commitment to sports development in our country. This is indeed a landmark moment in our sporting history.

One of the most heartbreaking stories I’ve come across on the internet today. 💔😢
Her name is Roslyne Ashanti, she was an established Airbnb business Lady in Nairobi! She was poisoned by her friends at her birthday party, she had invited friends to celebrate with her, little did she know that there was a Snake within them! She collapsed during the birthday party, never to talk, see or eat again, doctors treating her said it was food poison that damaged half of her Brain. She is now under the care of her mother, moving from one hospital to another. Most women don't have genuine friends, they're surrounded by snakes full of jealousy. Avoid nonesence circles and the so called friends at all cost.

Harry Kane deserves his moment. What a player, what a season! His journey reminds me to give it my all, every damn time! 🔥 Even if I fail a hundred times, even if I never reach the exact goal I’m chasing, I’ll keep pushing. Because sometimes, the journey takes you somewhere close to your dreams and that’s still a thousand times better than never trying at all. 💯💪🏽

What an extraordinary display of intellectual gymnastics! One must almost admire the audacity of attempting to disguise aggression as innocence and territorial expansionism as historical entitlement. Unfortunately, no amount of creative storytelling can manufacture facts, rewrite history, or transform an aggressor into a victim. The allegations of paramilitary advances from Oromia into somali territory deserve serious scrutiny, not this embarrassingly selective presentation of events. The reported testimonies of victims and evidence circulating on social media must be independently investigated. Propaganda is not evidence, and repetition does not magically turn fiction into truth. There is a Somali proverb worth reminding the architects of such narratives: “Nimaan sinnaan kuu ogoleyn, adna sarreyntiisa ha ogolaan.” He who refuses to coexist with you as an equal must never expect you to accept his supremacy. Perhaps the authorities in Oromia should spend less time entertaining fantasies of territorial dominance and more time studying the history, dignity, resilience and determination of the Somali people. Greater Moyale is a shared town, historically home to communities from both regions. This is neither a temporary arrangement nor a geographical inconvenience that can be corrected through military adventurism. No deployment of paramilitary forces, however ambitious its sponsors, can erase that reality. The Somali people have never required anyone’s permission to defend their homes, dignity or legitimate territorial rights. Those who mistake their preference for peaceful coexistence as weakness are making a spectacular miscalculation. And here lies the greatest absurdity, imagining that temporary military advantage can somehow confer permanent territorial ownership in the twenty-first century. What an astonishingly primitive theory of governance! Not one inch of territory should be acquired through intimidation, coercion or aggression. Regional boundaries must be respected. Those allegedly orchestrating these provocations from comfortable offices should understand one elementary truth: initiating confrontation is considerably easier than controlling its consequences. The communities who will pay the price deserve better than reckless political ambitions dressed up as patriotism. The planners may believe their intentions are cleverly concealed. Yet the allegations, accounts of victims and emerging evidence demand answers. Let this be absolutely clear: Somali people’s determination to defend legitimate rights must never be underestimated. Equally, no community should be condemned to endless conflict because of the ambitions of political actors. Oromia’s leadership faces a straightforward choice: pursue peaceful coexistence, mutual recognition and respect for established boundaries, or continue down a dangerous path that risks devastating both communities. And to the author of this spectacularly misleading tweet: congratulations on an impressive attempt to insult the public’s intelligence. Unfortunately, history is not rewritten by enthusiastic propagandists, territorial rights are not established through social-media fiction, and the truth does not become false simply because it is inconvenient. Moyale belongs to its people, not to expansionist ambitions. Coexistence is not a concession. Equality is not negotiable. Aggression must stop.

Inalilahi waa inaa ilehi Rajiuun. I am deeply saddened by the passing of PRO. ABDULLAHI SHONGOLO, distinguished anthropologist whose research made significant contributions to the study and preservation of African culture, indigenous knowledge and customary governance in East Africa. Professor Shongolo was widely respected for documenting African traditions, oral literature, pastoralism and traditional political institutions, helping bring the community’s cultural heritage and indigenous knowledge to wider academic attention. Among his notable works was his collaboration with Professor Günther Schlee on Pastoralism and Politics in Northern Kenya and Southern Ethiopia (2012), which explored the relationship between pastoral communities, political authority, ethnicity and intercommunity relations. He also contributed to the documentation of Borana proverbs and oral poetry, examining their role in preserving cultural values, historical memory and political expression. His passing is a loss to his family, the people of Marsabit county particularly Moyale, and our nation. I extend my heartfelt condolences to his family, and the people of MarsabitCounty. May God grant him Janaaah. Iraaa Hafaaa! Waqi Biye lafisinafii

ONE YEAR AGO… 💔🇰🇪 THE MEMORIES STILL HURT. A year ago, we stood in a moment that many Kenyans will never forget. We were saying goodbye to Baba, Raila Amolo Odinga ,a man whose political journey was deeply intertwined with Kenya’s struggle for democracy, justice and the rights of ordinary citizens. Whether you agreed with him or opposed him, Baba was a political figure who could bring the country to a standstill with just a few words. Who can forget those days? The voice, the confidence, the humour and those unforgettable statements that became part of our national memory. “Tuesday… Tuesday… Tuko barabarani!” 😭💔 And who could forget his famous declaration that only he could declare a public holiday? Those were the moments that made Kenyan politics entertaining, unpredictable, and unforgettable. But beyond the jokes, the chants and the political drama was a man whose decades-long struggle for multiparty democracy, constitutional reforms, and political freedom shaped Kenya’s history. He stood on the streets, endured detention, faced political battles, and remained a central figure in the fight for a different Kenya. Today, we look back not just with laughter, but with a deep sense of nostalgia. We remember the moments, the crowds, the songs, the slogans, and the hope he inspired in millions of Kenyans. One year later, the streets may be quieter, but the memories are still loud. Some voices become part of a nation’s history and some names remain etched in the hearts of generations. Baba Raila Amolo Odinga. 🕊️💔🇰🇪 Tuesday… Tuesday… Tuko barabarani! The words remain, the memories remain, and history will remember. #RailaOdinga #Baba #TukoBarabarani #KenyanHistory
