How to assemble the windmill badge kit:
There are 16 1206 LEDs they are colour coded but it doesn’t matter too much as long as you do not add more than 1 white and 1 blue to each blade (because of the forward voltage of these LEDs).
See thread for more instructions.

Finally getting around to messing with some of the badges and SAOs that I picked up @defcon. This combo seems appropriate for some reason @HighRollerCon @CyberSwamplords @rot13labs
We are at the hardware hacking village @defcon , if you want a windmill badge come get one :). #badgelife
Heading to the masquerade party by @DarknetDiaries @defcon . If you want a badge find the person with the windmill badge + the starry night lanyard and Red Hat, literally :). The password is: “Hé oelewapper”. We have around 3
kits. Looking forward to meeting you all! #badgelife
We are dropping 3 kits NOW find us in the hardware hacking village. The password is “Goedemorgen”. @defcon #badgelife
We are doing a drop of some kits in approximately one hour. #badgelife
Finally done packaging all the badges. It has been a lot of work but we made it. Massive thanks to the people who have helped, you know who you are ;).
Looking forward to meeting you all at my first @defcon tomorrow :). #badgelife
Unfortunately the PCB manufacturer seems to have not put enough solder on some of the pads for the shift register and/or 555 timer :( . So if you get a kit and it doesn’t work you can try reheating those pads. This seems to fix all badges we have tried so far that have an issue.
