I’m always amazed at people who say they like his policies. The racist ones? The ones lowering taxes for the rich? Sharing state secrets and betraying the trust of our allies? Getting rid of women’s rights? I could go on but you get it.

Today, the Trump-endorsed Georgia State Election Board is trying to change rules on the certification of election results. Georgia Reps @WillisForGA, @SamForGeorgia & @Ruwa4Georgia warned how the changes can be used to obstruct + undermine Georgia's election results. THREAD⬇️

#OnThisDay in 1953, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that segregation in restaurants in Washington, D.C., was unlawful. Civil rights activist Mary Church Terrell had led that fight. Such discrimination had not always existed in the nation’s capital. In fact, Congress had passed laws in 1872 and 1873, barring restaurants and the like from refusing to serve any “well-behaved” customer, regardless of race. Those laws remained on the books, despite being ignored. After the high court ruled in her favor, Terrell returned to the same restaurant that had turned her away, and she and her friends were served. mississippitoday.org/2024/06…

José Mynor López liked to go on drives and sing to his daughter in the back seat, blasting songs like “Si Estuvieras Aquí." He posted videos of him singing on social media, too. “Sea feliz cuñado,” one person wrote in the comments. For @BaltimoreBanner: thebaltimorebanner.com/commu…

If he is following the rule of law, why would he have to justify it? Here is what you do. Find the brief Garland filed, read the law he cited, google the law, and read about it. At one point I did that. People came to me with that question, and I did the research. 1/
Replying to @Teri_Kanefield
Q @Teri_Kanefield I became apprehensive about Garland when at first, his DOJ cont’d to defend Trump in EJ Carroll’s defamation case. Garland said he was following the rule of law but I couldn’t see how he could justify protecting his immunity in that case. Did that bother you?
