I am incredibly proud my investigation into Leicestershire Police has been shortlisted for Investigation of the Year – Regional at the Society of Editors' Media Freedom Awards.
The reporting revealed that 80-year-old Bhim Kohli was a repeat victim of ASB who had refused to turn a blind eye to trouble in his neighbourhood before his tragic death.
Most importantly, the findings from my investigation were handed directly by Bhim's family to the IOPC to help secure a fresh, formal review.

Police searching for a missing man last seen in Ashby have found a body.
James Corlett had been out in the town on the evening of Thursday 29 October but did not return home.
Derbyshire Police began a missing person enquiry and when information suggested James remained in the Ashby area, the enquiry was transferred to Leicestershire Police today (Saturday 31 October).
Earlier today, the body of James was found in Ashby.
His family have been informed and are being supported by officers at this difficult time.
The death is currently being treated as unexplained and further enquiries continue to be carried out.
