EACOP has handed over 200 Mama kits to support mothers and newborns in Hoima District.
Each kit contains essential supplies for childbirth and newborn care, including cotton wool, gloves, gauze, cord ligatures, baby bedsheets, a baby blanket and other essential items.
The donation originated from EACOP's 2026 “Give to Gain” initiative and was supported through the 2026, 1443 Pipeline Challenge, where employees committed to walking or running at least 100 km each.
Speaking during the handover, EACOP MD said: “Behind each kit is a mother who deserves safety, a newborn who deserves a healthy start, and a community that benefits when care is extended at the most critical moment, which is birth.”
The donation forms part of EACOP's Community Health and Safety interventions and contributes to SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being.

EACOP has inspected the ongoing construction of a modern maternal and child healthcare wing at Mbarara Health Centre II in Kitoba Sub-County, Hoima District.
EACOP is funding the construction in partnership with Hoima District Local Government, with the facility being developed in line with Ministry of Health guidelines.
Mbarara Health Centre II serves more than 10,000 people across 16 villages, but access to specialised maternal care remains a challenge. The nearest Health Centre III is more than 20 km away.
The new wing will help bring critical maternal and surgical services closer to communities and support the facility's progression towards Health Centre III status.
Speaking during the inspection, EACOP MD Guillaume Dulout said: “We are not merely inspecting the construction of a new building. We are opening doors to safer motherhood, improved healthcare outcomes and renewed hope for thousands of families.”
The project is part of EACOP's Socio-Economic Investment Programme under the Community Health and Safety pillar and contributes to SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being.
