Honestly, I think people should avoid jumping to conclusions about the MEXC situation. A regulatory order doesn’t automatically mean users’ funds are frozen or the platform is shutting down.

Not every regulatory action means users should panic. From what’s publicly available, the FinCEN order focuses on fund transfers between U.S. financial institutions and MEXC Global, not an immediate freeze of users’ assets or a platform shutdown.

People have been sharing their thoughts on what happened with $GARRI, so here’s mine. When @degenBRO__ launched $GARRI, I think the interesting part was how quickly people understood the idea. It wasn’t some complicated narrative that needed explaining. Garri is already part of Nigerian culture, so the meme basically speaks for itself. That’s what caught my attention. I think @degenBRO__ accidentally tapped into something that could’ve been bigger than just another quick meme launch. What I would’ve liked to see was more time given to that idea before the attention started spreading across different launches. Not because other tokens shouldn’t exist, but because I think there’s value in seeing how far one strong cultural narrative can go when everyone is actually pushing in the same direction. $GARRI had people talking. Nigerians could relate to it, and even people outside Nigeria were curious about it. That kind of attention is worth exploring. Maybe it was always going to fade. Maybe it could’ve grown into something much bigger. But personally, I would’ve preferred to see the $GARRI story play out a little longer before everyone moved on to the next thing. My POV 😭
