We welcomed MPs and invited guests to Parliament to showcase #LeonardoElectronics, giving attendees an opportunity to learn about some of the world-leading technology being developed by our teams across the UK.
With more than 6,000 people working at our seven Electronics sites and a UK supply chain – 50% of whom are SMEs – supporting thousands more jobs across the country, we are developing sovereign technology for the UK Armed Forces and our allies. Visting MPs had the opportunity to meet some of the 550 people working in graduate and apprentice roles across our UK Electronics sites.
Leonardo’s Electronics business develops the frontline capability that will help transform our Armed Forces. The event focused on counter-drone technology, Combat Air and Electronic Warfare (EW), emphasising the importance of partnerships to delivering future defence capability. This included Falcon Shield, DragonFire, GCAP and Eurofighter Typhoon, platform protection and EW payloads.
During the event, @steveracemp, Parliamentary Private Secretary in @DefenceHQ, addressed guests on the importance of partnering with defence companies who invest in the UK to deliver the people, skills and capabilities that will ensure the nation’s future prosperity and resilience.
