Halloween weekend box office is wild. An A24 documentary about Elizabeth Holmes is about to beat a DC superhero movie. Projections for Oct 31 - Nov 2: You Can See Everything (A24) - $15M projected for #1 Clayface (WB/DC) - $12M projected for #2 Last weekend: Clayface opened to $24M on 3,458 theaters You Can See Everything did $19.5M (+25% from week 1) on 2,655 theaters - already over $50M total domestic A24 expanded it to over 3,000 screens this weekend because demand is insane. Last time a Saturday Halloween topped with this little competition was 2015 when The Martian won with $11M. Documentary beating superhero movie on Halloween weekend was not on my 2026 bingo card.

My parents told everyone I was their miracle child. I discovered I was actually the reason my sister disappeared. My parents celebrated my birthday every year like I had survived something extraordinary. There were always photographs, expensive cakes, family gatherings and the same speech from my mother. "God gave us another chance when He gave us you." I grew up believing I was their miracle child. I was an only child, or at least that's what I had been told. There were no photographs of other children in our house, no stories about siblings, and no childhood memories involving anyone who could have been mistaken for family. But there was something strange about my seventh birthday. Every year, my mother would become unusually quiet three days before it. She'd lock herself in her bedroom, refuse visitors and sometimes cry when she thought nobody was watching. My father would spend those days drinking in his study. I eventually learned not to ask questions. When I turned eighteen, I found an old photograph inside my mother's jewellery box. It showed a little girl sitting on a hospital bed, holding a teddy bear. She looked about five. On the back, someone had written: To my beautiful firstborn. I promise I'll come back for you. I assumed it was a photograph of my mother as a child. But when I showed it to her, she snatched it from my hands so violently that the frame fell to the floor. "Where did you get this?" Her reaction frightened me. "It's just a photograph, Mum." She stared at me. Then she said something I'll never forget. "Some children should never have been brought into this world." I didn't understand what she meant. She apologised the following morning and bought me an expensive watch. We never discussed it again. Years passed. I moved abroad, got married, and eventually returned home when my father suffered a stroke. While sorting through his belongings, I discovered an old hospital file hidden beneath his mattress. The patient's name was familiar. It was mine. But the date was six years before I was born. I opened the file. Inside was a photograph of the same little girl from my mother's jewellery box. And beneath it was a medical report with a handwritten note. "Patient's younger sibling was present during the incident. Parents have requested that the surviving child never be informed." I read it three times. Younger sibling? What incident? I immediately called my mother. She didn't answer. Instead, I received a text message from an unknown number. If you've found your father's hospital records, don't ask your mother anything. She isn't the only person who knows what happened to your sister. My sister. I had a sister.

I begged my husband for just 30 days of peace in our marriage. Three days later, I discovered he had been cheating on me for almost a year. I was so heartbroken that I made a terrible decision: I slept with his best friend to get revenge. But I never imagined my husband would come home early and catch us in our matrimonial bedroom.

MY ENCOUNTER WITH MY SEXY PHYSICS TEACHER I'm a 17-year-old high school student in Manchester. Last Monday, our physics teacher returned our examination papers. One question asked: "A car travels 120 kilometres in 2 hours. Calculate its average speed." I wrote: Average speed = Distance ÷ Time = 120 ÷ 2 = 60 km/h. But Mr. Anderson marked my answer wrong and awarded me zero. His answer sheet said 40 km/h. I stared at the paper, convinced there had been a mistake. After class, I approached his desk. Me: "Sir, could you please explain why my answer is wrong?" Teacher: "Because you clearly don't understand basic physics." Me: "But 120 divided by 2 is 60." He suddenly laughed. Teacher: "Are you trying to teach me mathematics now?" A few students started laughing. I tried to remain calm. Me: "Sir, could there be a mistake in the marking scheme?" His expression changed immediately. Teacher: "Be careful how you speak to me. I've been teaching physics for 23 years." Then he made an announcement. Teacher: "Tomorrow, you'll solve this question in front of the entire class. Let's see how clever you really are." The following morning, he called me to the blackboard. He folded his arms and addressed the class. Teacher: "Today, we're going to correct a student's misunderstanding of basic physics." I picked up the chalk and wrote the formula again. Me: "Average speed equals total distance divided by total time." I wrote:

On a Sunday evening, my fourteen-year-old son asked me to take a DNA test. My first thought was that his mother had planted the idea. We’d been divorced for six years. Things between us weren’t always easy, but I’d never missed child support, a school event, or one of my weekends with him. I believed I was a good father and had worked hard to keep him from feeling caught between us. So when he came into the living room and said, “Dad, I need you to take a DNA test,” I thought I’d misheard him. I set down the remote. “Where is this coming from?” He looked nervous. “I just need to know.” “Know what?” “If you’re really my biological father.” I stared at him, unable to speak for a moment. Then I asked if his mother had been talking to him about me. He shook his head. “Mom didn’t tell me to ask.” “Then who did?” He said nothing. Instead, he went upstairs and came back with an old birthday card. It was from his tenth birthday. I remembered buying it because of the football on the front. Inside, I’d written how proud I was to be his dad. But someone had added another message in blue ink at the bottom. “You have your mother’s eyes, but I hope someday you learn who gave you that smile.” I knew the handwriting at once. It was my ex-wife’s older sister’s......
