Its an incredible book. Not just brilliant history & biography, but masterful storytelling.

Demand an Ireland that everyone can afford - that was the message loud and clear from Dublin today.
The rising cost of fuel, heating and everyday essentials is putting workers and families under enormous pressure. It simply isn’t acceptable.
This Government must do better. It’s time to bring down costs and put money back into the pockets of workers and families.

Public transport fare hikes are a slap in the face to commuters 🚍🚂
It's bad enough thousands of commuters are forced to travel on overcrowded and unreliable services on a daily basis but hiking fares in the midst of a cost-of-living crisis is unacceptable.
The Government is supposed to be incentivising the use of public transport. The Minister for Transport must act to stop these fare increases coming into place in January.

Tonight, hundreds of Garvaghy Road residents packed into the Drumcree Pastoral Centre.
The message was very clear.
The days of unwanted Orange marches through the Garvaghy Road community are over.
The residents of Garvaghy Road deserve to live in peace, without the shadow of intimidation and fear hanging over them.
Sinn Féin stands fully with the Garvaghy Road community.
There is no going back.

Robert Hamill was kicked to death by a loyalist mob simply because he was a Catholic.
The RUC failed Robert and his family and deliberately obstructed the investigation.
This happened amid the toxic sectarianism surrounding Drumcree.
Those facts cannot be sanitised or forgotten.
The people of Portadown have had 28 years of peace and that is what must be protected.

For the first time in history, three nationalist and pro-independence First Ministers now hold office.
This is a historic moment and testament to the enormous change, hope and opportunity of the times we are living through.
Just finished Siobhán Fenton's Ourselves Alone.
It is a well written & well considered book.
Some of her reflections are insightful. Others are debatable.
But all made honestly & frankly.

Sinn Féin activists joined today’s demonstrations during President Trump’s visit to Ireland.
The Trump administration has facilitated Israel’s onslaught against the Palestinian people.
Ireland must always stand for peace, neutrality, international law and human rights - and against genocide, ethnic cleansing and the destruction of the Palestinian people.
Ireland’s military neutrality and independent foreign policy must be protected.
