Got to take a flight in this Ehang autonomous flying taxi. Perhaps a bit of a gimmick for now, but the ambition from China is there. Companies are pumping money and expertise into developing flying vehicles as China aims to develop a ‘low-altitude economy’. #china
Will China beat America in the AI race? Wall Street is worried that the US AI bubble is about to burst, but the Chinese government is all in on AI and physical high tech such as pilotless flying taxis and highly automated factories.

Amazing: journalist does journalism to discover something, and because everyone is so used to people living by press release, they literally can't believe the journalist found it out on their own. holdthefrontpage.co.uk/2026/…

Update: Pakistan has quietly reversed this decision and allowed Taiwan’s two main civilian airlines to use its airspace again. While this unprecedented move was short-lived, it still sets a concerning precedent for China to take note of. bloomberg.com/news/articles/…
An unprecedented development by Pakistan to close its airspace to Taiwanese airlines under its so-called "One China" policy, which in reality is more aligned to Beijing's "One China Principle" in this particular case. It's unclear if Islamabad made this decision unilaterally, but given its close relationship with Beijing, it could be another concerning precedent where countries with close relationship to China weaponize access to airspace to squeeze Taiwan's international space. bloomberg.com/news/articles/…

Taiwanese carriers started flying to Europe through Russian airspace a few days ago, the first time since 2022. While I don't know whether this is connected to the closure of Pakistani air space, it would fit together.
Pakistan has denied carriers from Taiwan access to its airspace in support of Beijing’s One-China policy, the first move of its kind by any country. Full story: bloom.bg/4e697uV 📷: I-Hwa Cheng/Bloomberg

"Top officials in the State Department made clear that only candidates who voted for President Donald Trump would be eligible for the mid-to-upper level foreign service roles. They also told candidates that their campaign donation history would be examined and any donation to Democrats would be disqualifying."
SCOOP: The State Dept has started asking career diplomats up for promotion if they voted for Trump in 16, 20, 24. Federal law prohibits politically based hiring for career staff. State tells @washingtonsun it's screening for "fidelity" and execution of the president's vision👇

Cyprus must be a strange place: Russian and Ukrainian oligarchs, Greeks and Turks, Israelis feeling Israel, English military base, drunk English tourists, porn and crypto servers, offshore banks, every intelligence agency spying on each other — all on one medium sized island.

To be clear: Some facts are neither in dispute nor unclear. Our photographer was clearly marked as Press. She was clearly beaten. These are not partisan or risible statements, but indisputable. We urge a thorough investigation and accountability.
The Prime Minister’s Office: The facts surrounding the confrontation near Abu Falah, during which Washington Post photojournalist Heidi Levine was allegedly assaulted, remain unclear and are under investigation. Israel unequivocally condemns violence against anyone—Jews, Arabs, Christians or journalists. Those responsible will be held accountable. But serious questions remain. Reports indicate some 200 Arabs and far-left activists confronted approximately 40 Israeli youths. Footage shows masked individuals on both sides hurling objects, amid reports of fireworks fired at Jewish youths. Other footage appears to show Levine knocked down and immediately helped to her feet by the same unidentified individual. The investigation must establish the facts, including who initiated the violence. We will not allow disputed incidents to be exploited to demonize the hundreds of thousands of law-abiding Jewish residents of Judea and Samaria. The facts must determine the conclusions. Not the headlines.
