Who thinks chemistry cannot be entertaining was proven wrong at this year's #IgNobelPrize ceremony. Congratulations to Sanchari Banerjee et al., who received the Prize in Chemistry for for their research into how a species of cockroach nourishes its developing embryos.
This year’s #Scientifica offered plenty of exciting topics. The D-CHAB also joined with presentations. The Group of Maksym Kovalenko took visitors on a journey into the fascinating world of light and Jan Cvengros' experimental show lit up the room as well👇
How do researchers find the knowledge their work builds on? And how has the search for chemical information changed over the past few decades? Visitors found out during the tours guided by Jozica Dolenc and Leo Betschart from the ICBP at Scientifica 2026.
Enjoy some snapshots!
D-CHAB Alumnus Leon Jeckel was recently selected as a Dean of Science Fellow at MIT after being nominated by the MIT Department of Chemistry. The scholarship is awarded by the MIT School of Science to 20 new postgraduate students each year.
