Yes, these have been the numbers for quite some time. As much as Andrew Coyne would like to pretend otherwise.
Majority of Canadians want fewer immigrants in 2027: Nanos ctvnews.ca/canada/article/ma…
Has a politician ever deserved a defeat more than Trump did in the US midterms? I'm sure there are cases, but it has to be on the shortlist.
Explicitly campaign against war and then launch a war of choice. The Corruption and grift. Cartoonishly reprehensible.
Raising the retirement age is clearly a no-brainer policy given life expectancy in advanced western countries. If Canada weren't a gerontocracy we would've already done it.

Eby has donated $3,200 over the last two years, or $1,600 per year.
My monthly fee is $1,600, or $19,200 per year (I didn't win $10/day lottery).
And he had the audacity to claim his paltry donation was the difference in cost. He obviously knew that was a flat out lie.
Unreal.
What percent of NDP MLAs and staffers with kids do we think got $10/day daycare? I'm thinking somewhere in the neighbourhood of 100%.
David Eby refusing to answer whether or not other members of his Cabinet also benefit from 10 dollar a day daycare. #BCPoli
For my two kids in daycare I'm going to end up spending $150,000 more than David Eby will for the same care, over the same period. Would be easier to digest if the program was means-tested and neither of us qualified on that basis. A $150K lottery the Premier won and I didn't.
This literally makes me want to puke. Mr. Premier, your family earns what, $700K+ per year? And you're getting $10/day daycare? Meanwhile, I'm paying $1,600/month (>$19,000 per year), of after-tax dollars, to send my kid to daycare, while my taxes subsidize yours.

The difference between my fees, $19,200/year vs. $10/day ($3,650/year) is $15,550/year. Daycare fees are paid with net income as well. Just a huge break for some, funded by the taxes of the 90% who are paying through the nose. Not income-tested. Total scam.
What do we think the average net worth of seniors deferring property taxes is?
No fault is insanely dumb. If someone ruins your life in an MVA you should obviously be able to sue for a huge amount of money. No one would want to become a quadraplegic for $5-10M, but if it happens you should be well taken care of financially.
