Municipalities play a crucial role in the effective implementation of the EU funds, in Bulgaria 🇧🇬 and in the whole 🇪🇺.
I am glad I met some of their representatives today in Sofia.
NRPPs, Cohesion Policy and the Common Agricultural Policy were at the centre of our discussion.

My Tour d’Europe in 🇧🇬 starts with the conference📍the Next Multiannual Financial Framework: Priorities and Principles.
If we do it right, the next MFF would have one obvious benefit: it would offer predictability in a world in which we do not know what could happen tomorrow.
🇧🇬 One final stop. 27 Member States. Our common European future.
Commissioner @Piotr_Serafin concludes his Tour d'Europe in Bulgaria on 29–30 October, with a focus on:

A pleasure to visit Dun Salv Vella Nadur Primary School in Gozo 🇲🇹 with Commissioner @glenn_micallef.
EU funds helped co-finance the school’s renovation, creating a better place for children to learn. Investing in education means investing in our future. 🇪🇺
🌊 From shared horizons to island stories
Commissioners @Piotr_Serafin and @GlennMicallef travel to Malta to continue the Tour d'Europe to discuss:

The 2027 EU budget needs to provide predictable funding for agreed programmes and EU priorities, while leaving room for emergencies. Good to discuss these priorities today in Strasbourg with MEPs and @ThomasByrneTD as budget talks continue.

I thanked Laura Kövesi for her outstanding leadership at the @EUProsecutor Office. Since she took office, Europe has stepped up the fight against organised crime. Mult succes pe mai departe, dragă Laura!
A look back at two days of insightful conversations!

A modern #EUbudget is not about “how much do I put in, and how much do I get out?”
It is about what we can achieve together that no Member State can achieve alone.
That is European added value.
