THE EDUCATION AVENGERS is about more than remarkable people. It is about the ideas they embody, the conditions they create for human flourishing, and the extraordinary things that happen when ordinary people decide children are worth the fight.
@JeanneAllen introduces readers to a new class of heroes who saw children being failed and decided they could not look away.
They did not set out to become heroes. Most began with a child, a question, or a concern they could no longer ignore. They refused to accept systems that asked children to wait—for relevance, dignity, happiness, or belonging.
These are stories of resistance and resurrection. Stories of people from vastly different beginnings whose lives point to the same truth: no matter the circumstances, there is something in each of us that is called to fight.
Through twelve extraordinary lives, Allen explores what creates human flourishing, why some communities thrive while others struggle, and what becomes possible when purpose, dignity, courage, freedom, joy, hope, and opportunity take root. This is a book about people—and the enduring ideas that shape lives, strengthen communities, and restore hope.
THE EDUCATION AVENGERS is available now from @PostHillPress.

To @alexanderrusso's question- because even if #edreform has endured opponents and political ignorance, it takes time, resources and a lot of fights to improve education, and waiting is something our nation's kids can ill afford.
Great question. EdChoice has seen 15 election cycles since we opened and two things remain true: there is always another election coming and we always have to fight hard for parents. Sometimes we are in super defense mode like we will be in TX and AZ and sometimes we are in attack mode. The fights remain the same only the states change.
Another "no-brainer" move for the win!

The Election Will End. The Education Revolution Won't.
The constituency for educational opportunity is far larger and more diverse than the conventional political debate suggests. It includes families of every race, income level, political affiliation, and educational background... More from @JeanneAllen in @Forbes ⤵️

Whichever party comes out on top tomorrow, expect some pundits to declare the education reform movement diminished. Not so fast, says @JeanneAllen. That misses 35 years of bipartisan history and the parents who drive it... ⤵️

The most powerful constituency behind (education opportunity) isn’t sitting in Washington. It’s sitting around America’s dinner tables.

Should we be shocked that college students are portrayed as academic rebels for wanting to read the classics, or that these titles used to be common entries on middle and high school syllabi?
