Today, we cut the ribbon on something BIG! ✂️ After years of dreaming, planning, and hard work, Edesia has officially grown from 85,000 to 300,000 square feet! But this isn't about a bigger building. It's about reaching 10 MILLION children every year with lifesaving nutrition. A very special thank you to the generosity of Mike Bezos and his family for believing in our mission and helping make this big, crazy dream possible. There are many problems in this world we can't solve. Malnutrition is not one of them. Now, let's get to work. #ChildrenCantWait Go, Humanity, Go! ❤️

Throwback Thursday to 2016! 🎀✂️ The last time we cut a ribbon on a factory expansion, we had big dreams about how many more children we could reach. A decade later, those dreams have only gotten bigger. Soon, we're cutting another ribbon. This time, on a factory built to help us reach 10 million children every year. Same mission. Bigger dreams. More children. Go, Humanity, Go! 💙

At the @devex Impact House during #UNGA, our Founder & CEO Navyn Salem joined a conversation about what it will take to reach more children with lifesaving and life-changing nutrition. The truth is, none of us can do this alone. It takes governments, philanthropy, nonprofits and the private sector all showing up, working together and finding a way. We need to think bigger about prevention. If we can reach a child with the nutrition they need before they become severely malnourished, we should. We can help millions more children grow, learn and thrive before they ever need treatment. And we’re already seeing what that can look like. From Operation End Starvation, founded by the Eleanor Crook Foundation, to ICONIQ's new child survival portfolio, new financing models and philanthropic partnerships are coming together to fill critical gaps and find new ways forward. #GoHumanityGo

Mohamed is 18 months old. He should be learning new words, playing, growing, and getting into everything. Instead, he is fighting severe acute malnutrition and supplies of Plumpy'Nut have run out. These supply chains are the difference between life and death. Donate at the link in our bio to help us reach Mohamed and every other child that enters the clinics in Sierra Leone.

On this World Humanitarian Day, we celebrate all of the fearless, tireless humans who are part of this life-saving chain; from healthcare workers to nurses, to logistics coordinators to truck drivers. To every person who carries a box, crosses a border, or walks the last mile to make that journey to reach a child: thank you. #WorldHumanitarianDay

Every 11 seconds, a child dies from severe malnutrition. That's not just a statistic. It's a child. Their future. A family whose world changes forever. A gift of $50 provides one box of Plumpy'Nut—enough to save one child's life. Will you help us find a way? ow.ly/r7WB50Zv3vP #WeFindAWay #EndMalnutrition #EdesiaNutrition #HumanitarianAid

It's easy to celebrate what's been built. It's harder to remember what it looked like before anyone else could see the vision. This photo was taken in 2015, before a single wall had been raised. Today, this hallowed ground has helped nourish more than 30 million children. More (very) soon. 🤍 #throwbackthursday #TBT #EndMalnutrition

At Edesia, we believe that one of America's greatest strengths is its generosity. As we celebrate America's 250th birthday, we're inviting our supporters to give $250. Together, we can share the very best of our country with children who need it most. Every day, we see it come to life. Peanuts grown by American farmers become lifesaving food for children fighting malnutrition thousands of miles away. It's one of the most beautiful journeys we know. Happy Independence Day. 🇺🇸

"Seventy-Eight Cents I live in the extremes. Every couple of months, I leave a beautiful house in Rhode Island, one with too many extra bedrooms since my daughters left for college, and enter a world full of unimaginable need..." Read Navyn's Full Newsletter here: ow.ly/eLO350Zhp7N

Thirty years ago, Ready-to-Use Therapeutic Food (RUTF) changed the future for millions of children. This week, our summer intern, Alice, helped celebrate that milestone at a UNICEF USA reception in the U.S. House of Representatives, where she spoke eloquently about how her life was saved by RUTF and carried the nickname Plumpy'Nut when she was just 2 years old. She also met with members of Congress, including Representatives Gabe Amo and Seth Magaziner, who have been steadfast champions for children facing malnutrition around the world. Here's to the next 30 years of innovation, advocacy, and saving lives. 🤍 #30YearsOfRUTF #UNICEFUSA #EndMalnutrition #EdesiaNutrition

#TBT to 2020. In this video, Andrew Kamara, Edesia’s Vice President of Global Operations, shares what this work truly means to him. As a former refugee, Andrew understands the stakes of our mission in a way few can. He has lived the uncertainty. He has seen what happens when systems fail. And today, he helps lead the systems that save lives. [pick one] "This factory is revolutionary. We execute miracles here. If you look at it from the outside, it's almost impossible.” "You know that this place is a special place. And what makes it special is a unique number of employee that hail from 26 countries around the world." From sourcing ingredients across 18 U.S. states, to producing and shipping millions of packets of lifesaving nutrition, the work can look overwhelming. But every day, this team proves that impossible is just a starting point. Andrew’s leadership reminds us that Edesia’s impact isn’t theoretical. It’s deeply personal. It’s global. And it’s powered by people who know exactly why this work matters. Miracles don’t just happen. They’re executed... one shipment, one child, one country at a time. #ThrowbackThursday #EndMalnutrition #GlobalHealth #RefugeeLeadership?? vimeo.com/483651682?share=co…

At Edesia, we’re always ready to open our doors. Visits like this recent Congressional Staff Delegation helped House and Senate staffers see, firsthand, what it takes to end malnutrition. They didn’t just sit in a conference room. They gowned up, stepped onto our factory floor, and packed boxes of RUTF (Plumpy’Nut) that will immediately move to malnourished children in the world's hardest-to-reach places. They toured our warehouse, visited our test kitchen, spoke with our R&D team, and even taste-tested our life-saving foods. They learned how this mission began, and why it has never stopped. They heard from our team about the real challenges… procurement delays, supply chain disruptions, the complexity of getting life-saving food to children in the hardest-to-reach places on earth. Most importantly, they listened, asked important questions, and discussed challenges & hopeful solutions. We’re grateful to the congressional offices who took the time to visit us in Rhode Island and thank the leaders who show up every day to support our mission of ending malnutrition.

#ThrowbackThursday Our Founder, Navyn Salem, a mom of four, was living everyday family life when she saw Anderson Cooper on a 60 Minutes segment about Plumpy’Nut, a simple fortified peanut paste that saves malnourished children’s lives. That moment hit her deeply. After that, a trip to Tanzania, her father’s homeland, opened her eyes to malnutrition in a way no statistic ever could. Seeing children’s lives at risk because of something preventable lit a fire in her. She asked herself: What can I do? And she did something most people would call impossible, with no relevant experience... started a non-profit that could reach children in crisis. Today, what became Edesia Nutrition is on a mission to ensure every child has a fighting chance... because no child should suffer from a lack of nutrition. 🌍❤️ 📌 From a mother’s love to global impact. 📌 From watching a life-changing story to creating one. 📌 From Tanzania’s fields to life-saving food in the hands of kids who need it most. ow.ly/VGeW50YqKhj #MissionDriven #ThrowbackThursday #EndMalnutrition
