Universities BUILT by enslaved Africans ON indigenous land ran by white men, with less than 10% of tenured professors of color have the audacity to ask us for a diversity statement 😂🤣
Thrilled to share the cover of my forthcoming book, Scripted Death.
A transnational genealogy of medical diagnoses that shape police training, courtroom procedures, and the staging of biological evidence across the long wars on crime, poverty, and drugs.

Cute graphics. Nothing about this is true, however. Dominican Republic is among the most colorist and racist anti-black nations in the Americas. And there’s a ton of research to support this. I’ll add a few sources below if you care to read.
Dominicans are one of the least colorist people in the Americas.
In fact historically between 1700’s to early 1900’s foreigner diplomats & travelers were astonished to no see racism, color division & segregation between Dominicans.
This includes Black American diplomats such as Frederick Douglass who said: “There is no such thing as prejudice against color. Men of all colors meet and mingle on terms of perfect equality.”
Colorism: “bad treatment or prejudice against dark skinned people of the same ethnicity”
There is no evidence of large scale bad treatment of dark skinned Dominicans by other Dominicans just because they happen to have dark skin. Dominicans are one of the least racially conscious people in the Americas which is a testament to their non-colorism view of the world. The fact that they continue to mixed with each other with different skin tones destroy this colorism narrative.

Esto no es control migratorio. Es inhumano, degradante y aterrador. Apuntarle a una persona con una escopeta, incluso mientras está bajo control, no es seguridad: es una cacería humana. ¡La vida y la dignidad no se negocian!

Racial designations wrk differntly across (and even within) regions. However one feels about it, we also have remember tht the US was also legally segregated until the 60s. So it’s not just folks aimlessly claiming descent. This was a concerted series of customs and legislation.
