If the US wants to be objective in helping end the long running Rwanda/DRC face-off in Eastern Congo, then sanctioning only one side will not help. The Tshisekedi Govt has its own proxies that threaten Rwanda, so why not sanction all the troublemakers? home.treasury.gov/news/press…

Couldn’t agree more. But most importantly, how will these sanctions save the Congolese citizens from their dictator @Fatshi20 He is busy robbing DRC wealth to Europe under the pretext of war, killing innocent citizens, spreading ebola & manipulating to change the constitution!

USA 🇺🇸: A federal jury in #Boston, Massachusetts has convicted Eric Tabaro Nshimiyimana 54, for his role in the Genocide Against Tutsi in Rwanda 🇷🇼 in 1994. The criminal who fled in 🇺🇸 since 1995, under a web of lies and deception is finally caught by the long arm of justice!

So, Rwanda should SURRENDER AND MAKE THE PERISHING FASTER?! They didn't survive Genocide to just come and grant Tshisekedi& Americans a CHEAP VICTORY- WHAT THEY COULDN'T ACHIEVE ON THE BATTLEFIELD to FLUKE it through cowardly SANCTIONS which punish UNARMED CIVILIANS.
🇺🇸🇷🇼🇨🇩 Weeks after Tim Kennedy was shot three times in eastern Congo... Washington sanctioned the army he was fighting Treasury hit Rwanda’s Ministry of Defense for deploying thousands of troops alongside the M23 rebels in North and South Kivu, and Zigama Credit and Savings Society for moving the money that buys their weapons and launders the gold that comes out of rebel-held mines into Rwanda. That is the same war Erik Prince’s contractors are in on the Congolese side, under a contract to secure and tax the mining areas Washington wants American companies in, and the September ambush that wounded Kennedy and killed a former New Zealand commando happened on one of those mining-revenue operations. The sanctions put the US government where Prince already was: on Tshisekedi’s side against Kigali, which was Washington’s Africa partner until the minerals deal made Congo worth more. Rwanda now has a choice between pulling its troops out of the Kivus or watching its defense ministry get cut off from dollars, and M23 has to decide whether to keep fighting with its bank frozen. OBAMA on Trump Corruption: I am old enough to remember when a president wearing a tan suit was a major national controversy. They were very upset. And I know I look good in that suit. It was tight.

JAY-Z addresses the hate he’s been receiving online recently, on night two at SoFi Stadium: “Y’all gotta be very aware what’s going on in the world, right? People will tell you that nobody was in here tonight, but you got eyes, you can see. People will tell you that the music wasn’t great, but you got ears. [...] Question everything in this world of AI.”

Bana b'#Rwanda🇷🇼 , you carry a potential far greater than you realize. To walk in a time when your President genuinely listens, champions your dreams, and affirms your value is a profound gift. It is a privilege some of us only ever dreamed of having. May you cherish it and never take it for granted💗

Open letter to fellow millennials Before responsibilities humbled us, THIS was how we moved! 🔥 This dance knew our secrets! Remember, we didn’t survive our youth just to sit down when this song comes on. 😂 legends can relate! For all our good and bad sides, we Millennials are a unique breed. We weren’t born to behave, yet somehow we turned out better behaved than the generations that followed. 🤣 (I may get a beating for this but..) We were born to create memories, live lively yet we had nothing and enjoy life to the fullest. Sadly, we are now at an age where we have too many responsibilities to create the same memories, and even if we tried, we’d need three business days to recover from short party 😂 we lived

A compelling and well-researched analysis by Minister @DrDamascene. Analysis written based on Prof. Filip Reyntjens’ own writings and statements for the sake of clarity, honesty and scientific objectivity. Minister Bizimana writes: "Even though Reyntjens appears confident, he does not stand by his choices when questioned about his bias against academic requirements. He resorts to slander and intimidation by insulting those who point out his mistakes, calling them 'RPF fanatics', 'idiots', 'stupid', 'poor', 'ridiculous', 'trolls', etc. (...) he plays the victim by arguing that people are attacking him personally rather than his arguments. However, it is impossible to understand an author's ideas without knowing his personality and motivations, and without examining his intellectual capacity. In this case, the fundamental question concerns the credibility of Reyntjens' expertise on Rwanda, a country he describes himself as an 'expert', an 'opportunist' and a 'political activist', even though, as indicated above, he has not set foot there for more than thirty years. He publishes on the basis of unreliable information gathered mostly on social media, which comes from perpetrators of genocide against the Tutsi, whom he has associated with in the past, their sympathizers, or 'opponents' who have left Rwanda, often for reasons related to crimes they committed there." newtimes.co.rw/article/39888… (Part 1 of the entire article that was first published in Dialogue Review, Special Edition No 211, "Peace in the Great Lakes Region: An Analytical Essay.")
