The most frustrating part is thinking about what could've been achieved in twelve years.
Enough time to completely overhaul India's schools, courts, bureaucracy, cities and manufacturing ecosystem.
Instead an insane amount of political energy went into controlling narratives, worshipping leaders, crushing criticism and winning the next election.
A once-in-a-generation mandate was treated like a permanent election campaign.
What a bloody waste of political power.

Education – $14B, Health – $11.6B, Sports – $0.4B, and Research & Development – all totalling just $17B in government spending. Meanwhile, freebies consume the budget – $120B. Your taxes were never truly allocated toward meaningful development and infrastructure. The priorities of this government are crystal clear: they would rather spend on entitlements and giveaways than invest in the fundamental sectors that build a stronger nation. The allocation reveals where the real focus lies, and it certainly is not on advancing education, healthcare, athletic programmes, or scientific innovation.
