Earlier today, we detected evidence of a security incident on #AO3. We are still in the early stages of investigating. No AO3 data has been deleted. All your works, bookmarks, kudos, etc., are safe. Learn more at otwstatus.org/incidents/g12j…
We estimate that service restoration for #AO3 will take around 2 weeks but it could be up to 4 weeks. We are hopeful that we will be able to bring the site back up in a degraded state sooner. Refer to our status page for updates: otwstatus.org/
This is what the apocalypse feels like. How am I to survive two weeks without AO3??????? All my fanfics 😭😭😭

How many more studios and games need to be killed by corporate greed and bad decision making by executives?

To help against misinformation:
This is the result of the Saudi Arabian buyout deal. The most ridiculous deal ever made where EA could barely cover the cost of the debt it accrued.
A lot of people will attach their personal feelings to the "why" but this is the real reason ^

This is not something I ever expected to see.
Larian and Bioware started their trajectories in the games industry at the same time and Bioware led the way in making RPGs big. It's almost unimaginable that we're now entering an era were the name Bioware won't show up anymore when discussing upcoming RPGs. What a loss for all of us.
Thank you for all the games. Thank you for the many hours of gameplay. Thank you for all the stories . You can be damned proud of what you achieved.
I hope you all land well.
Really sad to see another studio shut down. All these closures and lay offs break my heart. It also really hits morale since I myself have been out of work for quite awhile in the industry. This just guts my hope.
So hyped!!!!

Hideo Kojima's fabled P.T. project, once a playable advert for his cancelled Silent Hills game, is now available on PC. Once upon a time, entire consoles with the game installed were being sold online, but with the help of emulation, this exceptionally influential mini game is now preserved forever.
